We step into the busy hospital corridors. Nurses fast walk in and out of rooms, and I can hear a baby crying in the waiting area,
Yes, we are here to see Ms. Harrison. It's not like I'm going to back down or anything.
Molly walks to the front desk and asks for her. They ask us some information and tell us that Ms. Harrison isn't in any critical state, so we are allowed to visit. They flushed the poison out safely, and her system didn't really react as badly as they expected.
We step into her hospital room quietly. Her son is there speaking to her. She isn't as pale as when I saw her before, and she looks up to give us a small smile.
"And you are?" Ms. Harrison asks, her voice light .
"Molly. Acacia. Here to ask some questions." Molly says bluntly. She couldn't have put it any nicer? Sugar coated it or anything?
She gives us a confused look.
"I'm sorry. It has to do with our neighborhood. It won't be anything too personal." I give her an apologetic smile. Her son says he'll get out for a bit, and motions us to sit on the chairs beside the bed.
"Okay who gave you those cookies?" Molly asks, straight to the point, while taking her seat.
"It was a young girl. Blonde hair. I haven't really seen her around before. Oh but she really did seem to have good intentions, I couldn't possibly thought those cookies were poisoned. Maybe it was something else," she tells us.
"Do you have any other description for her?" Molly asks.
"Um. She was wearing a light blue dress, reminded me of my young days if I may add. Oh, she also smelled strongly of caramel. A very particular scent." Ms. Harrison says.
"Thank you so much, that really is very helpful." Molly says, scribbling in her small notepad.
"Okay I think we'll be leaving now," I tell her and we start heading out.
"Oh please don't blame anything on her, she may be totally innocent." She adds.
When I'm about to close the door after us I hear Ms. Harrison mumble a few words to herself.
"Did she call herself Crybaby?"
