Daydreaming

"I never meant to start a fire, I never meant to make you bleed. I'll be a better man today."

Oliver was so confounded by Felicity Smoak.

He was sitting in a McDonalds with her (he only had a limited budget and he thought she would enjoy the novelty of it and consider it "different")
He couldn't take his eyes off her, mission or no mission.

His heart ached to be close to her in a way he couldn't ever allow, he didn't want to get close to her, he felt he was cheating himself, and Jonas King was getting what he, Oliver Queen wanted.

She was an intelligent girl, there was no denying that. She was a beautiful girl too, but not in the conventional model type of way of the girls he usually went for. Beautiful as in the sun shines for her, the earth moves for her, his soul speaks to her kind of way.

Oliver desperately wanted to kiss her.

But he didn't want Jonas King to kiss her.

She was naive to not know his inner conflict, she genuinely thought he was a nice guy who liked her, and despite her history, she didn't seem at all suspicious of him.

Oliver might even go as far to say as she trusted him after barely 3 meetings. But he guessed he just had one of those faces.

He had got back to her home, and he saw the way she was looking at him, an expectation written across her face that made him sad.
He wasn't going to fulfil it, but neither was he going to leave her unsatisfied. Sending Waller to hell, he kissed Felicity Smoak wildly on the mouth, pressing himself against her, holding her in his arms, pressing himself against her warm petite body until she pushed him away without looking back.

He sighed and headed back to the car where Roy was looking at him. He knew he had fucked up, and he would have hell to pay later.

"What were you thinking?!" Roy asked him, almost shouting at him as they entered the apartment.
Oliver looked at him, surprised. "What?" He asked.

"Don't fuck around with me. Felicity damn Smoak, that's what. Amanda have you a job to do, Queen. You should do it, and not jeopardise the mission just because you fancy a piece of the blonde and you can't keep it in your pants a little bit longer. It's not like you can't have her. You will have her. ONCE WE HAVE THE SUFFICIENT INTEL."
Oliver sighed.
"I know. I knew she was expecting something and I couldn't just leave her hanging, Roy. She needed to know I was coming back." Roy groaned, his anger slightly subsiding.
"Talk to Waller in the morning. She signed off halfway through your little date. I'm sure she's dying to hear the details."

-------------------

Oliver tossed and turned in his bed, the image and feel of Felicity's lips on his imprinted deep in his brain.

This girl was so dangerous to him, she was like a drug that he had to take slowly to savour it, but it was killing him to do so.

If he had been his old self, he would have fucked her into oblivion last night, no questions asked.
But he was under A.R.G.U.S's thumb, and there was little he could do about it, especially when Amanda or some other A.R.G.U.S agent was listening in. He had to find a way to tell Felicity the truth, once he had the Intel.
She would never forgive him. But he couldn't leave without telling her. He didn't want to disappear and leave her wondering. He didn't want to hurt her at all.
