Annie;

Here I was again, sitting in this ice cream shop with Brennan across from me.
See, this time around it was diffrent, I had actaully agreed to come with him.
"So" he said. "So" I said back to annoy him.
"Want another milkshake?" He asked, we had been sitting here for an hour, and I contemplated letting him buy me another but replied with a simple "no"
He sighed and leaned back in his seat, "ok well I'll walk you home" he said standing from his seat and collecting his things.
So this wasn't exactly a date, and that's a good thing, Arden an some other people where with us but we ended up being the last ones. So I gathered my things to, "we'll go to my house" he said, "ok" I replied.
"Just kidding" he said, I looked at him funny, "I was just seeing if you'd say yes" he continued. I looked at him oddly for another moment, why did he do that? He ran his hands through his hair and announced he should go. I watched sling his backpack over his shoulder and walk towards the door, he must of forgot I had no idea how to get around here. I slung my bag over my shoulder aswell, it was to late to catch him now so I took my time getting out the door.
As I walked I watched my feet, only looking up to see where I should turn next, I noticed small snowflakes falling on my black boots and sighed.
Winter was my least favorite season, I hated the bitter cold and how when the wind blew it actaully hurt, mostly your cheeks. I kicked a pebble along as I walked, I have it an extra hard kick and it bounced into someone's grass, the snowflakes had just begun to stuck and it made the grass a light green color.

When I finally got home it had taken thirty minutes longer than when Brennan walked me, I walked up to the front door and pulled my key out to open it up, I heard some one utter a quite "thank you" and the door was opened before I could put my key in.
A tall blue eyed boy stood in front of me, he was obviously suprised to see me sanding there, as was I.
I didn't know him, but boy did I wish I did.
He said his apologies and took off, waving goodbye to Haley and my mom.
"Who's he?" I asked as I thee my backpack on the table.
"Haley's new tutor" my mom stated simply as she walked off to fold clothes.
Haley was still homeschooled, she still didnt want to go to school.

My mind still lingered on that boy, I didn't know his name or age or anything but he had my attention, that's for sure. And without meaning it I fell asleep thinking of him.
