Chapter 26

Both Luke and hayleys tutor were arrested finally, and mom is freaked out right now because he was hayleys tutor for so long.
She's having a long talk with hayley, asking if he ever tried to hurt her, she's insisting she hasn't.
I can tell she's becoming uncomfortable with all of these questions.
"Want to go shopping?" I offer to her, my mom is hesitant but I assure her we'll be safe.
She finally agrees and we hop into the car, we drive to the mall and start.

After about a half hour I see Brennan, but he's with a girl, they're not holding hands or anything, but they're laughing and joking around.
I try to steer hayley away, I don't want her asking questions about it, I haven't told anyone in my family we aren't together anymore.
It's to late though, hayleys already seen, "did you break up?" She gasps.
I pull a twenty dollar bill out of my pocket knowing that hayley wants to get something and mom didnt give her any money.
"But why?" She asks.
"Because I don't want it being a big deal, I don't want things blowing up" I sigh, she shakes her head yes, takes the bill, and starts pulling me over to justice.
Luckily I won't see Brennan in there.

She ends up getting two new pairs of jeans, four new shirts, and two pairs of shorts.
I can tell she's tired so after we eat we head home.
I didn't see Brennan again while we were there and I'm thankful.

When we get home I head up to my room, but I an hear hayley talking to my mom, I guess she doesn't realize she's being loud because I can clearly hear the words "Brennan" and "broke up" and some other muffled ones.
For some reason I'm not mad, I knew it had to come out soon and I didn't want to have to do it so this works out.

After a little bit of talking I assure my mom ill be ok with Brennan at the wedding, but I'm not sure I'm telling the truth.

( ok this isn't a cliffhanger well it kinda is, but I like to keeps doing cliffhangers to keep you guys on edge, but here's something that will, the next chapter or two chapter is the wedding, and things are gonna happen, but they may not be posted for a couple of days bc I'm trying to make them long and I haven't started writing them yet:( but 20 votes and 20 comments for more! )
