Chapter fourteen

I sit across from Brennan at this table again, like always.
This time it was a bit diffrent, we were good, classified as a couple I guess you would say. The last hour has consisted of just talking, like always.
I've forgiven him, sure, but it's going to take a long time for him to earn back my trust.
He takes my hand and leads me out the door, we begin walking to the ice skating rink, hand in hand.
When we get there he pays for our skates and we go out onto the ice, I start off rocky, but surprisingly Brennan's worse than me, he clings to me like his life depends on it and this makes me chuckle.
After a few minutes I slip and tumble onto the ice, somewhere in there my hand collides with my skate, causing an excruciating pain.
"Hah who's laughing now?" He chuckles. I stay on the ground for a moment, first mad at him but then realizing he doesn't know I'm hurt.
When I tilt my head up his eyes go from my face to my hand and panick runs into his expression, there's blood pouring out of my hands and onto the ice. He screams at the top of his lungs and covers his eyes "I hate blood!!!" He yells. This makes me laugh through the pain, he crouched down onto the ice. "Get up you idiot!" I yell "I need to go to the hospital"
He jumps up and almost falls on his face, but he takes my good hand and pulls me up.
"Help we need an ambul-" he begins to scream, but I cover his mouth.
"We don't need an ambulance just drive me to the ER!" I smack his shoulder.
"Right, right, ok" he says and pulls his key out to unlock the car. He takes his scarf off and wraps it around my hand to apply pressure.
We get into the car and he becomes frantic, "your gonna die, your gonna die, your going to bleed to death" he panicks. "I'm not going to bleed to death" I can't help but laugh.
Within five minutes were at the hospital, he picks me up bridal style and runs into the ER "help help hel-" he screams and once again I have to cover his mouth, a nurse has a concerned look on her face and comes over. "What do we have here?" She asks, referring to my screaming boyfriend and the scarf wrapped around my hand.
"I was ice skating and I tripped and somehow my ice skate hit my hand.
She unwraps the scarf and I cringe, "not to bad, you'll just need a tetanus shot and some stitches" she says "your boyfriends looks more worried than you" she says gesturing to Brennan.
I laugh "let's get you back" she says and leads me into a room.

An hour later I have stitches in my hand and my family is around me, Brennan still looks pale.
"Luckily the damage wasn't to deep, you were close to cutting a vein, there would have been a lot more blood" The doctor says, and Brennan gets a bit paler.
"Anyway, you guys can go home" he says to my family.
Mom kisses me on the check and heads out the door.
"Have fun on the rest of your date" dad says and waves.
Brennan stands up and comes over, "I thought you were going to die" he says, I laugh again because I just ant help it.
He playfully punches my arm and we both laugh.
"I love you" he says, I take in a breath, why did he just say?
