My heart sinks to the floor as the words come out of the doctors mouth, I immediately fall into Brennan's arms. We're shocked, I take a step away from Brennan and cradle hayley in my arms, she cries softly as I rub her back. "What now" I ask, turning to Brennan and the doctor. "Well, until we find your mother there's no one of legal age to sign the paper for wether or not his organs are donated, so we just wait" the doctors stands awkwardly. I begin to pace around the room, wishing Caleb was here so he could console Hayley, he always could calm her down the best. Brennan pulls me into a hug and leads me and Hayley out of the room, "where's the nearest hotel?" Brennan asks the nurse at the front desk. "Fairview, about two miles out, just take a left and keep going straight till you see it" she smiles and goes back to the paperwork she's sorting. We all walk out to Brennan's car and get in, he starts the engine and my dads favorite song comes on the radio, I begin to cry and so does hayley, brennan rubs my back and we drive off, the radio still playing.
We're still on our way to the hotel as Hayley slowly begins to cry "I want mommy" she says sadly. I panicked as I realize she's still gone, she could be anywhere, doing anything. My mom loves my dad so much she probably couldn't live without him. My stomach drops as I come to the realization that maybe she really can't live without him, what if she killed herself?
