Chapter thirteen

Annie;

I slowly slid into the seat next to katie, she explained how Brennan had told her everything. This made me jealous but I then realized he had been faking liking me the whole time anyway.
She told me he was sorry and he was just saying those things because he had to, I wasn't convinced.
"Look don't be mad at me I'm just delivering the message" she said as she got up to throw her trash away.

"I'm not" I assured her "we should hang out soon"
I wrote my number on a piece of paper and handed it to her, then I got up.
The rest of the day went by quickly, no Brennan made things easier.
I stepped out into the cold air, my least favorite thing about new hamshire, and shivered.
No matter how warmly I dressed the cold always got to me, I was getting ready to begin my walk home when I heard a faint voice calling me, the wind drowned it out a bit but I listened long enough to notice katie waving to me and calling my name.
I jogged over to her and she offered me a ride, I let out a sigh of relief as I got into the warm car.

I stomped on the mat to get the snow off my shoes and waved goodbye to katie, I had invited her in but she said she had lots of homework. I turned the knob and entered my house, it was warm and toasty and I was greeted by a suprise.
Caleb was sitting on the couch in front of me, he hasn't been home in months, I ran up and tackled him in a hug, he smelled like he always did, I missed him. Mom announced that dinner was in an hour and that Caleb's girlfriend Abby and her family was coming over and that I should freshen up.
She had mentioned earlier I should invite Brennan but I told her he was sick.
I ran up the steps and traded my sweatpants and school sweatshirt for pair of skinny jeans, a grey sweater, and high heeled boots.
I went into the bathroom and put on a turquoise accent necklace aswell as some makeup.
I checked the clock, Abby and her family would be here in five minutes, scratch that, they were here now, i looked out the window as Abby's car and her family's van pulled into the drive way.
I grabbed my phone, ran down the steps and dove to the couch, mom always said it was rude to be upstairs when guests arrived, and I made it just In time because when I sat down the doorbell rang.
Caleb hopped up and opened the door, he greeted Abby with a kiss and the rest of the family with hugs.
As they passed Caleb they hugged hayley and me as well.
Abby was dressed in a beautiful maroon dress and suddenly I felt odd and out of place with no one to talk to.
Hayley had Abby's sister who was her age, Caleb had Abby, and obviously the parents had eachother.
I pulled out my phone and sent katie a text message.

Annie; 911, at a fancy dinner at my house with no one to talk to, come quick

Katie; ok ill be there in 20

I smiled when she replied, I hadn't expected her to say yes.
I let my mom know katie was coming and she said we would wait on dinner.
Twenty minutes later the doorbell rang and I rushed to get it, katie stepped inside and hugged me.
She shook Abby's hand and Abby pulled her into a hug "any friend of annies is a friend of mine" she smiled and katie laughed.
Mom announced it was time for dinner.
We all took our seats and when dinner was over Caleb announced he had something to say.
"Ok, I didn't actaully come here just for dinner, I came for something else nobody knows about" everyone looked confused, he got out of his seat and reached into his pocket, before I knew it Abby was crying, I was confused until Caleb slowly lowered himself onto one knee. Everyone at the table oo'd and aah'd as Caleb told Abby how much he loved her.
Mom was crying, and so was Abby's mom.
"Yes" she yelled before Caleb could even ask her to marry him, he did and she said yes again, he got up from the floor and kissed her.
"Well I have to go but I'm glad I got to stay to see that" katie said as she stood up, I followed her to the door and said goodbye.
An hour later everyone was gone, and I was exhausted.
I went up to bed and turned the lights out, surprisingly I couldn't sleep.
A small tapping at my window kept me awake, it was every couple of seconds in diffrent spots.
It started to annoy me so I stood up and opened my curtain.
And standing there was Brennan, throwing rocks at my window.

( OMG THIS IS LIKE MY FAV/LONGEST CHAPTER THE FEELS OML, and if you remember one of the earlier chapters she wanted him to throw rocks at her window so that was my inspiration, and I didn't want it to be all about Brennan so I threw in some family stuff, anywho hehe 10 votes and 10 comments for more, there might not be another chapter for a few day cause writing this was exhausting, but I think the next chapter might be in Brennan's pov so get excited )
