Chapter Two

Peter

I walk into school and go to Principal Coulson's office as he requested. "Peter, I need you to show the new student Perseus Jackson around school," Coulson orders.

"Yes sir!" I say, "Where is he?"

"He should be here in a few minutes," Coulson says. I walk to me locker and wait for the new kid to show up.

A few minutes later a kid walks into the building. He has raven black hair, sea green eyes, and is easily as muscular as Flash Thomson. He has a skateboard, on the bottom is a silver trident with a turquoise back round. That must be the new kid.

"Hey Parker!" Flash says blocking my view of the new kid.

"What do you want Flash?" I ask.

"I want to stuff you in your locker," Flash says picking me up.

"Hey! Put him down, and pick on someone your own size!" someone shouts. Flash turns around and faces the new kid.

"What'd you say?" Flash growls putting me on the ground.

"I said, pick on someone your own size," the new kid replies.

"How about you!" Flash shouts lunging at the new kid. He easily side steps and Flash crashes into the lockers. "You will pay!" Flash shouts while getting up. He tries to punch the new kid, but the new kid dodges all the punches. Flash tries again and again to land a punch on the kid, but he can't lay a hand on him.

Finally, the new kid punches Flash in the eye. That's going to leave a mark. Flash slides to the ground clutching his eye.

"Jackson! Detention after school with me!" Coulson yells from down the hall.

"Ok," The new kid replies.

I walk up to the new kid, "Hi, I'm Peter and where'd you learn how to do that?" I ask.

"Summer camp, and I'm Percy," he replies.

"Do you know where your class is?" I ask.

"No, can you lead me to advanced biology?" Percy asks.

"Sure that's my next class too," I reply. We walk to the bio lab and Percy tells me about himself.

"My dad was lost at sea before I was born, and my mom is amazing," He replies as I ask him about his parents.

"Oh, my parents are dead too, and I lived with my Aunt May and Uncle Ben until Ben died. Now I just lived with my Aunt May," I explain.

"Any girlfriends?" Percy asks.

"No. You?" I reply.

"Yep, my Wise Girl, Annabeth," Percy says as we enter the lab. Percy and I sit next to each other in the back as the teacher talks. We all start taking notes on the year. When I look over at Percy he's writing in a strange language that I can't read.

"What are you writing?" I ask.

"Notes," He replies.

"In what language?" I ask.

"Greek," He answers.

"Why?" I ask.

"I have Dyslexia and writing in Greek makes my brain so confused I can actually read it," Percy explains.

"Cool," I reply.

"Parker! Jackson! Detention after school!" the teacher yells right as the bell rings and I show Percy his next class and run to mine.
