Chapter Twenty-Five

"I think Spidey may be onto us," I whisper to Annabeth as I see a look of realization cross his face.

"We'll talk to him," Annabeth whispers back, "Spidey, we need to talk," Annabeth says out loud. Peter follows us outside the room into the hallways.

"Are you guys' demigods?" Peter asks excitedly.

"Yeah, but not of who you think?" Intellect replies.

"So you're not Asgardian demigods?" Peter asks. I can see Annabeth restraining herself from correcting him in saying all Asgardians are also demigods technically.

"No," I confirm.

"Then what kind of demigod are you, what pantheon?" Peter asks.

"That you must figure out," Annabeth says before walking back into the room.

"What?" Peter exclaims.

"She likes when other people don't know things," I reply before following Annabeth.

The room we enter is in complete chaos, everyone is shouting and things are flying across the room. "Everybody stop!" I shout causing everybody to freeze. "What is happened?"

"Bucket Head here said that he could beat one of us in a fight, and I said he couldn't beat me in a fight unless he was fireproof. Then he said we should see if that was true, and attacked me," Leo says.

"Not true, you attacked me first!" Nova exclaims

"Is that true?" I ask glaring at everyone as they nod.

"Nova, Inferno, if you guys can't get along, I'm going to have to suspend you two from all missions and patrols," I say hoping it will work.

"You can't do that, only Fury can do that!" Nova exclaims.

"Actually, he can, after seeing how all of you act together, Riptide will be the leader of this team," Fury says seeming as if he appeared out of nowhere.

"What? How come he gets to lead, I've been the leader much longer?" Spidey exclaims.

"Riptide took control of the situation and got everything under control, where you are the one fighting with Nova," Fury reprimands. I can tell Spidey is fuming, and I feel bad that I stripped him of this position. However, I'm not going to argue with Fury in the middle of his warship.

"Ok guys, I have your first mission for you. Goblin has been stealing some suspicious items from science labs across the country. A select team of individuals will sneak into Oscorp and find out what he's up to," Fury explains.

"Who's going on the mission, the old team because we're the most experienced at this?" Nova asks arrogantly.

"No I'm sending Riptide, Spiderman, Intellect, White Tiger, and Ghost," Fury says, "Intellect will make the plan, Ghost will help sneak in, and the rest of you will fight if needed to."

"What, what about me. I'm a critical part of our team, a team which you're splitting up!" Nova exclaims.

"Nova shut up or I will suspend you from this team," Fury says.

"Wha-" Nova starts but shuts up when both Fury and I glare at him. That kid is more annoying than Leo, and that's saying something. Leo is a hyper demigod with ADHD, no one is more annoying than Leo, except Nova.

"Everyone who's going on the mission, follow me to get suited up," Fury says before walking down the hallway.

"This is going to be fun!" I exclaim slinging my arm around Annabeth and Nico, as we follow Spidey and White Tiger down the halls.
