Chapter Eight

"Parker!" Nick Fury yells waking me up, I look at my S.H.I.E.L.D. watch.

"What?" I exclaim waking up.

"There's a new team out there that saved the day last night!" Fury boomed.

"What?" I exclaim.

"You heard me, a new team saved the day!" Nick yells.

"OK, I'll talk to you more at detention," I say. I hang up and get ready for school.

I see Percy and his friends in the hallway chatting. "Hey, did you hear about Omega!" I shout as Percy waves me over.

"Yeah, I heard they gave Spiderman's team a run for their money," Percy exclaims.

"What'd they do?" I ask thinking it would be something small that everyone was fussing about.

"They stopped the Wrecking Crew from robbing the bank. How could you have missed it, it was all over the news?" Percy explains. Wow, a brand new superhero group stopped the Wrecking Crew, that's amazing. My team and I cause tons of damage trying to stop them the first time.

I walk over to my locker and get ready for class. All day I heard rumors about the mysterious team Omega.

"So how many people are there?" I ask Sam at lunch. He watched the news last night.

"Nine, there's Riptide, Intellect, Tempest, Charm, Archer, Mist, Ghost, Inferno, and Huntress," Sam explains.

"Wow that's a lot of people," I exclaim.

"Yeah, I know right!" Sam agrees. The rest of the day was filled with questions about Omega.

Finally, it was time for detention. I walk into Principal Coulson's detention room, and sit down waiting for the fun to start. When everyone arrives Coulson presses the button under his desk and we all slide down the chute to the Helicarrier.

I change into my Spiderman costume and go to the training room.

Everyone arrives, then Nick shows up.
"Spiderman! I want your team to capture Omega for me!" Fury booms.

"Yes sir!" I exclaim jumping into a salute.

"Get out of here!" Nick yells.

We all scramble for the door, not wanting Nick to scream anymore.

Once in the city we do our daily rounds, while looking for Omega.

So far we've managed to stop three bank robbers, four mugs, and one thief. It was such a slow day.

Occasionally, we'd hear some commotion and go to check it out. But by the time we go there Omega had taken care of it already. Fury is going to be pissed if we don't detain Omega.

Suddenly, I hear some shouting. We run down the street and arrive at the fire. Bad for us, Omega was already there. But luckily they weren't done yet.

We hid in an ally, waiting for Omega to be done. Inferno controlled the blaze, while Riptide and Tempest saved the trapped civilians, and Charm and Mist calmed the distressed victims down.

Honestly, they were a great team. They all worked together to solve the problem.

After the fire was out, and the pedestrians left. We stepped out of the shadows to make ourselves known to Omega.

"Well well, who do we have here. Spiderman and his little gang," Riptide says.

"Yep, and I have orders to bring you in," I announce. We all got ready, the fight was on.
