Percy
After lots of discussion, Annabeth and I decided we would join S.H.I.E.L.D. We probably will have to tell them our secret identities, and we're prepared to do that. Annabeth decided it would be strategic to have them as our allies.
"Follow me," Coulson says leading us through their floating death trap. I still can't believe he's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, he seems to caring. The again it could have all been an act, but I don't think it was.
Finally, we reach a big empty room in the middle of the Helicarrier. Well I assume it's the middle based on how quiet the engines are from here. It's grey and very metallic looking as if they didn't do anything to this room after the shell of the Helicarrier was built. "Ok, here we are at the training room," Coulson says gesturing around.
"Cool," Leo says spinning around probably taking everything so he can try to recreate it.
"Ok, you're each going to battle a robot that will assess your skills and abilities. It will continually get harder and harder to beat the robot until you lose," Coulson explains.
"This will be easy," I smirk muttering to Annabeth.
"Defiantly," Annabeth replies.
"Ok everyone pick an area," Coulson says gesturing to the control panels coming out of the floor. Out of the corner of my eye I see the Spidey gang watching us through the window of the viewing box.
"Do you have any water source I can use, or should I just pull some from the pipes?" I ask sarcastically.
"I'd like some rocks," Hazel says boldly
"You will be provided with water and rocks," Coulson says exiting the room, presumably to fulfill our requests.
Soon, two unnamed agents enter the room each carrying a bucket, one goes to me and one to Hazel, "Thanks for that," I say as they quickly exit the room.
"Training program initiated," A robotic voice says while a robot comes up out of the floor, one for each of us. Their eyes light up showing they are activated.
The levels start out relatively easy. I pass the first with one sword swipe, the second with two and so on. Each level adds another more durable robot, I could see how it could be hard, but not for me.
Soon, the room is filling up with robots as we all escalate through the levels. It takes all my willpower not to help my friends. Then, out of the corner of my eye I see a group of robots shut down and go back under the floor. Someone must have lost, if I were to guess I would have to say it was Piper because she's the newest to the demigod business.
One by one, the room clears and leaves room for more robots as more people get out. After Piper it was Hazel, Leo, Frank, Jason, Thalia, Nico, until only Annabeth and I were left.
The room soon became full of robots as we battle them. At some point we start working together to defeat the robots. Finally, the program stops, I don't realize it stops until the robotic voice says, "Program finished, you completed the battle."
"Congratulation, I didn't even realize that the program had an end," Coulson says from the viewing box where everyone is, including the other demigods.
Soon, they all enter the training room. "You will make a valuable ally to S.H.I.E.L.D., and could stand as an alternate to the Avengers," Coulson explains reviewing the robot's data.
"Wait, seriously!" Spiderman exclaims. I don't know why I don't call him Peter; I guess I don't want to have to fight my friend.
"Yeah, no Avenger has ever finished the program," Coulson says. Know I really wish I could see Spidey's team's expression under the mask.
