Chapter Twenty-Six

The mission was a success and I hate to say it, but it was all thanks to Omega.  Intellect came up with an ingenious plan, and Ghost’s teleporting even though it’s nauseating really helps.  When we arrived we were immediately confronted by Goblin ready for a fight.  Ghost teleported Intellect to the other room where they stole back the tech while we faced Goblin.  I’m pretty sure Riptide saved my life countless times and made apprehending Goblin much quicker, although I’ll never admit it.  When we returned it was pleasant without Fury yelling at us.

“Good job, you stopped the Goblin from making a bomb to destroy the city,” Fury congratulates us, which is something he hasn’t done since Omega arrived.  He briskly walks out of the room and shuts the door behind him leaving us in silence.
Riptide looks at Inferno, “Are you in?” he asks.

“Almost there, give me one second,” Inferno says typing something in the holographic computer on his wrist, “OK, they’re down.”

“What’s going on, what are you doing?” I ask confused.

“We disabled all the security in this room, can’t let anyone see what we’re about to do,” Riptide smirks.
“What are you doing,” I ask ready for a fight.

“Relax, we wanted to tell you who we are, but we don’t want it on tape.  If we’re going to be a team, we need to trust each other,” Riptide reassures.
I almost fainted, OK not really, but this was exciting. I will finally know who they are any why they are so familiar.

“OK, brace yourselves,” Riptide jokes before finally pulling off his helmet.  It takes me a second to realize who it is, and I do a double take.

“Percy, you’re Riptide, but how?” I ask confused at how my best friend could be a superhero.

“I’m good at keeping secrets, also I'm sorry for acting mean.  It was part of my act, you couldn’t think it was me,” Percy apologizes.

“You’re a great actor, I wouldn’t never thought it was you,” I reply in shock.
“So if you’re Percy then you guys must be Annabeth, Nico, Piper, Jason, Frank, Hazel, Leo, and Thalia,” Ava concludes pointing at everyone.

“How much of your story if fake,how much did you lie to us?” Sam accuses.

“Not much, we tried to stick to the truth as much as possible, just twist I  it a little bit,” Annabeth replies after taking off her mask.

“So how did you guys get your powers?  I’ve figured out that you guys are demigods, but what pantheon are you apart of?” I ask ready for answers, then I think of something, “Wait I know, Greek or Roman right, or are they the same?  I’m not really good with mythology,” I say sheepishly.

“Good guess, I’m impressed you figured it out.  Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Piper, Leo, and Thalia are Greek while Jason, Frank, and Hazel are Roman.  The Greek and Roman gods are essentially the same people but with split personalities,” Annabeth exclaims.

“So who are your godly parents?” Luke asks.

Annabeth gives him a look, “Come on, some of you guys are smart enough to figure this out.”

“I’ve got it, I used to be obsessed with Greek mythology.  Percy is the son of Poseidon,  Annabeth Athena, Nico Hades, Piper Aphrodite, Leo Hephaestus, Thalia Zeus, Jason Jupiter, Frank Mars, and Hazel Pluto.  How did I do?” Ava asks.

“You’re right, nice job,” Percy congratulates.

“Were did you guys train, you mentioned Long Island and San Francisco are there people there to train demigods,” Sam asks.

“That’s classified, I can’t have the government knowing about that place.  I can’t imagine what they could do to all those kids my family, I need to protect my family, surely you can relate to that,” Percy explains.

“Of course, I’ll respect your privacy if you respect mine,” I reply.
