Chapter Nineteen

Percy

Annabeth and I swing our arms while we walk down the street back from dropping Sandman off at the police station. We finally defeated him by vacuuming him up. Piper and Jason are ahead of us whispering and acting like every young couple in New York. We had taken of our armor off as to not attract attention.

"We have school tomorrow," I complain.

"Why, school isn't that bad," Annabeth replies.

"Yes it is, you haven't gotten twenty detentions in one week!" I exclaim.

"Right, like you didn't deserve the detentions," Annabeth jokes.

"So you're saying that being Dyslexic and writing in ancient Greek deserve a detention? The teacher should be proud that I'm fluent in a dead language!" I exclaim. Annabeth, Piper, and Jason all laugh at my response. "Hey, it's not funny!" I protest.

"Perc, it's very funny," Jason replies. I pout the rest of the way back to the apartment. We enter the building and go up to our apartment. When we enter, everyone is sitting in living room talking. Leo is fiddling with some miscellaneous object, probably making an amazing little helicopter or something.

"What took you guys so long?" Hazel asks.

"We had to drop Sandman off with the police," Annabeth replies.

"Ok, hey Perc, your mom stopped by earlier. She dropped off some chocolate chip cookies," Grover says.

Those were the magic words. "Cookies! Did they happen to be blue?" I ask hopefully.

"Yeah," Grover replies.

"Thank you mom!" I exclaim as I run into the kitchen. Sitting on a plate were a stack of my mom's famous blue chocolate chip cookies.

I sprint to the cookies and grab a handful. When I return to the living room everyone is laughing. "What's so funny?" I ask confused.

"Nothing," Leo says attempting to cover up his laugh.

"Right," I sarcastically, "nothing." I go and sit down next to Annabeth and start playing with her hair.

"What do you want to do tonight?" Frank asks.

"We should watch a movie!" Piper suggests.

"Any objections?" Annabeth asks. When no one says anything she asks, "Ok, what are we going to watch?"

"Hunger Games!" Leo exclaims.

"Finding Nemo!" I shout.

"Star Wars!" Piper counters.

"I agree with Piper!" Jason agrees.

"Ok, who wants Star Wars?" Annabeth asks. Piper, Jason, Frank, Hazel, Rachel and Nico raise their hands. "That settles it. Which episode?" Annabeth asks.

"All of them!" Leo exclaims.

"Movie marathon!" I shout going to the cabinet with all the movies. I pull out all seven movies. "Now," I ask, "chronological or cinematic order?" I ask.

"Chronological!" Piper shouts. Everyone agrees with her and I put in Episode I, The Phantom Menace.

About half an hour in to the movie Grove goes and makes some popcorn. When he comes back I grab a handful and start eating, occasionally getting crumbs all over.

After Episode IV, we make dinner them resume watching. It was a very relaxing night.
