Chapter Seven

Percy

"Iron Man is so much awesomer!" Leo exclaims, "I'm going to build myself a suit like his, except it's going to be orange and dark purple like fire!" For a second there I saw flames dancing in Leo's hair, then it was gone. Good thing no one else saw that.

"That's going to be hard," Peter say probably thinking Leo can't be serious. I inwardly laugh, if only he knew who we are.

"My favorite superhero is Captain America because he's a great leader," I explain. I look at my watch, it reads 6:00. We've been talking for a hour, wow time really flies.

"Guys lets go for a walk," Jason suggests.

"Sure," Peter replies. We all stand up and walk outside talking about school. Turns out Peter and Ava are the smart ones, Danny pretty smart, then Luke, then Sam.

Soon, we have to leave and walk home. At the apartment everyone finishes unpacking, then gathers in the rec room. We talk about the superhero idea. "If we're going to be superheroes we need costumes," Leo concludes. We all ponder on it.

"My mom could make them?" Piper suggests.

"No," everyone exclaims. If Aphrodite made out outfits they would be very exposing.

"I got it!" Annabeth exclaims snapping her fingers. "We could use the armor the gods gave us!" she explains.

"You mean this armor," I say snapping my fingers three times. Suddenly, traditional Greek armor appears on me. Everyone has slightly different colors, mine is a turquoise with silver. Annabeth has the opposite silver with sea green. Next, Jason has dark gray with purple, and Piper has purple with dark gray. Then, Frank has red with gold, and Hazel has gold with red. Finally, Nico has black with silver, Leo has bright orange with dark purple, and Thalia has sliver with electric blue.

"Come on guys, let's have our first night of protectors of the city!" Jason exclaims before dramatically jumping off the balcony with Piper. He probably got that dramatic flare from Uncle Z. I Vapor Travel to the ground with Annabeth and Nico Shadow Travels with Leo and Thalia, who punched him afterwards. Frank and Hazel use one of Franks zip line arrows to get to the next roof top.

We were jump from roof to roof looking for trouble, when we hear an alarm. We follow the sound to a bank in time to see the super villain group the Wreaking Crew running away from the bank. Jason flies over their heads and lands in front of them, surprising them. "Who are you, and what are you doing?" Wreaker, the leader asks.

"Me? I'm Tempest, and my team is here to take you down," Jason says as we all jump down from the roof, surrounding the Wreaking Crew. Annabeth and I take on Wreaker, Jason and Piper take on Bulldozer, Hazel and Frank take on Thunderball, and Nico, Leo, and Thalia take on Piledriver.

Annabeth and I dodge all Wreaker's attacks. I finally distract him, while Annabeth sneaks up behind him and knocks him out. We tie him down and look at everyone else's progress. It looks like Bulldozer was electrocuted by Jason and is tied up. Thunderball is stuck midway into the ground, probably by Hazel, and has different scratches all over him. Piledriver is also electrocuted and is pined to the wall by Thalia's arrows.

As we're about to leave we're mobbed by reporters and the paparazzi. "Who are you sir!" a reporter asks shoving a microphone in my face.

"I'm Riptide, and this is Intellect, Tempest, Charm, Archer, Mist, Ghost, Inferno, and Huntress. We're Omega," I say, flashing a grin right before Nico and Hazel Shadow Travel all of us out.

We arrive and the apartment and I turn on the news. Daily Bugle Communications and J. Jonah Jameson are on.

"Who are these new heroes?" he asks. "They could teach that web-headed menace a lesson. They didn't cause any damage fighting the Wreaking Crew. When Spiderman fights them most of the city gets destroyed," Jameson rants. I turn off the T.V. and we all go to bed to rest up for a boring day of school tomorrow.
