Percy
"This is crazy, what I'm I going to do?" I rant to Annabeth during English.
"Tell him, you're not interested. That you don't want to get mixed up in all the superhero stuff," Annabeth replies smartly.
"Ok, I'll do that," I reply a bit more calm.
Finally, lunch rolls around and I can see Peter again. I grab him and bring him outside in to the courtyard that surrounds the school. It's a bit quieter and less crowded out there. "So, I've thought about your offer, and I'm going to have to say no," I reply.
"What? How could you not want to be a superhero?" Peter exclaims.
"Well, I don't want my family to be in danger or anything. I mean what if someone found out that I'm a superhero and they went after my mom or Paul. I just can't put them in danger," I lie, trying to be as honest as possible.
"Ok, I can't force you," Peter says sadly.
"I'm sorry, but if you any need help with a cover or anything you can say you were at my house. Just tell me beforehand so I know," I say trying to be reassuring.
"Ok thanks, honestly I would've been surprised if you'd joined. Especially since you don't have powers and everything," Peter says trying to lighten the mood.
"Hey, Hawkeye and Black Widow don't have powers and they kick butt," I argue.
"Yeah, but they've also been trained almost all their life to be spies," Peter remarks back.
"True, well we better get back inside, the others will be wondering where we are," I say before walking back through the doors. We enter the crowded cafeteria and I spot our gang at one of the long tables. "Hey guys, how's everyone doing?" I ask.
"Amazing, as always," Leo smirks.
"Yeah right Leo," Piper replies tousling his hair.
"Not the hair, I spent all morning on that," Leo complains.
"Too bad," Piper remarks.
"Quit messing around," Annabeth scolds, "Save it for after school."
The bantering continues until the bell rings signaling the end of lunch. I quickly gather my stuff and race down the hall to my locker to collect my Latin stuff, Peter hot on my heels.
We reach the classroom just as the late bell rings and slide into our seats as the teacher starts attendance. That class passes without any distractions and so does 8th period. Finally, it's time for gym.
While we're changing into our gym uniforms there's lots of bantering in the locker room between the jocks which I mostly try to stay away from. Most of it consists of Flash Thompson gushing about Spiderman. I would like to see his face if he ever realizes that Peter Parker is Spiderman.
We emerge from the locker rooms and wait for the gym teacher's instructions. Today we're doing football, his favorite sport. We listen while he passionately recites the rules and how to play.
Finally, we get play, but by then we only have ten minutes left of class. So the whole class silently cheers when the final bell ring interrupting our games even if the gym teacher made us all late again.
After school, we return to our apartment and do homework before deciding what to do today.
"I say we just relax," Leo says from his current position of laying on and taking up the whole couch.
"Well I say we fight some crime, and not be lazy like Leo," Piper remarks.
"I agree with Piper, we should have some fun today," I grin.
"Fine, if I'm out voted I will surrender," Leo says dramatically before getting up off the couch.
