Chapter Twelve

Peter

I enter school looking for Percy. I find him at his locker like always. "Yo Percy!" I shout.

"Peter, did you hear? Omega stopped the Trapster," Percy says.

"Yeah, it was amazing," I lie. How could we forget that Omega can teleport? There seems to be no extent to their powers. Fury said to find Omega again today. I think it's stupid, they're just going to escape again.

"Do you want to come over after school?" Percy asks.

"Sure," I reply, Aunt May had said I could go out as long as I was back by eight, if not then I would be grounded for life. I wonder where Percy lives? Is his family rich? I'm taken out of my thoughts when I see MJ walk by. My brain starts playing cheesy music.
I see fingers snapping in front of my face, then I snap back into reality. "What?" I ask.

"You like her," Percy teases.
"Who?" I ask confused.

"MJ, she walked by and you started drooling. You like her," Percy grins.

"What! No I don't," I say trying to deny the fact.

"Yes you do," Percy counters. I about to reply when the bell rings. Saved by the bell I think while running into my first class. Throughout the day I think about Percy. He and his friends are strange people. Well for starters, he said that they all met at a summer camp on Long Island. I looked it up and there is no camp for kids with ADHD or ADD and /or Dyslexia on Long Island. Second, they never tell much about their lives. It's always little bits about parents or friends, but never any hobbies. And last he said that Rachel, Annabeth, and Grover were all ready from the area, why didn't they go to Midtown with him then?

Finally, school's over. I meet up with Percy outside his locker and he leads me to the school parking lot. Once I see his car I instantly know, his family is rich. How else was he able to buy that car?

"Usually I drive Annabeth home, but today you get the honor," Percy jokes.

"I feel so honored," I says before stepping into the car. After the ride I have one piece of advice. Never ride a car with Percy Jackson at the wheel. He's a crazy driver! I got out of the car and gasp, we were in front of one of the most expensive apartment buildings in the city! We ride up the elevator and stop in front of room 7-16.

"Welcome to my home!" Percy says opening the door.

"Whoa!" I exclaim walking in.

"Yeah, its crazy," Percy says.

"So do you live with your mom or dad?" I ask.

"Um, well, the thing is...I live with my friends," he stammers.

"What?" I ask confused.

"Well, you know my camp friends. We all live here together. Nico and Hazel's dad gave us the money, he's rich," Percy explains.

"Oh, hey that's cool. You know Danny, Luke, Sam, and Ava live with my aunt and I," I say.

"Oh, cool, well just don't report us. My mom she checks on us every weekend, she lives just down the street..." Percy rambles.

"It's OK, I won't tell the police," I say interrupting him.

"Thanks, it would suck to go to jail," Percy laughs. We both start laughing.
Later, I help Percy with homework. Annabeth said he was so stupid, but I think he does it for her attention.

We went out for ice cream and ended up having an ice cream fight in the park. I so wished I could tell Percy about being Spiderman. When I finally left his apartment I realized that this was the most fun I had since Omega came to town.
