Chapter Seventeen

Percy

I wake up at 10:00am and sleepily walk to the kitchen. Annabeth is sitting at the table reading an architecture textbook. She looks up and starts laughing, "What?" I ask confused.

"Percy, what are you wearing?" Annabeth says in between laughs. I look down at my Finding Nemo pjs and frown.

"What's wrong with Finding Nemo?" I ask. Annabeth shakes her head and leads me back to my room.

"You do not want Leo to catch you in those," Annabeth advises.

"Ok," I say as she leaves to let me change. Once I'm done I walk back out to the kitchen where everyone is waiting for breakfast. "Let's eat!" I exclaim.

"Finally, we've been waiting forever!" Leo says exasperated. Calypso smacks him in the forehead which causes me to laugh. I sit down next to Annabeth and everyone starts eating.

"Percy, you are going to drown your pancakes!" Annabeth exclaims looking at my plate.

"I'm a son of Poseidon! My pancakes can't drown!" I exclaim.

"Percy," Annabeth groans.

"Ok ok," I say stopping the flow of syrup.

After we finished eating we gathered in the lounge. "So," Leo says clapping his hands together, "what are we going to do today?"

"We should be Omega today!" Jason exclaims.

"Great idea!" Annabeth says snapping three times to make her armor appear. We all follow suit, and soon you have the deadliest people in the world standing in our kitchen.

"Let's go," I say before Vapor Traveling out with Annabeth, we regroup on a rooftop to formulate a plan.

"Ok," Annabeth says, "Let's split up into groups and search for danger, everyone take their usual area of the city." We all run off into different directions and start searching for trouble. Annabeth and I stop a few bank robbers, but nothing big happens.

"Help!" Jason exclaims into the headsets that Leo made for us.

"Sparky! What's wrong," I ask concerned.

"Sandman, Piper has him under control for now, but that's not going to last long," Jason says concerned.

"On our way," I reply. I grab Annabeth and we Vapor Travel to where Jason is. "Your knight in shining armor is here," I announce charging at the villain.

"You can't hit him with any weapons, it will just go through him!" Piper shouts. I change my attack and make a fire hydrant explode. I use the water and wrap it around Sandman immobilizing him.

"Let me go!" he bellows.

"I don't think so buddy!" I retort. Sandman roars annoyed and starts struggling.

"He's melting!" Annabeth exclaims. I see she's right the water is turning Sandman into mud.

"What should we do?" I ask.

"Well for one, stop with the water. We need to find another way to stop him without killing him," Annabeth says.

"Ok, now what?" I ask dropping Sandman. He bellows and charges at me. "Bad idea! Very bad idea!" I shout running away. "Annabeth plan? Now!" I exclaim.

"I'm thinking!" she shouts back as I dodge Sandman.

"Well think faster!" I yell.

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, you do not tell me to think faster!" Annabeth shouts. I groan, I am so dead. I instantly start running faster imagining an angry Annabeth behind me. This might actually work.
