Chapter Fourteen

Peter

I woke up to my alarm, and quickly get dressed for school. I then scarf down a breakfast and sprint to Midtown High. I see Percy next to his locker talking to Annabeth. When he sees me he walks over with a huge smile on his face. "Peter," Percy exclaims walking over.

"Percy," I reply. "What's up?"

"Nothing," Percy replies. I was about to counter that, but the bell rang and we ran to class. The school day was uneventful as normal. I wonder why no villains attack during the day? It's strange.

"Spiderman, we have an emergency!" Fury calls as soon as school ends.
"What?" I ask mildly annoyed.

"Someone hacked into our system, and stole the file about you and your team," Fury explains.

"What do you want me to do?" I ask.

"Oh, I don't need you to do anything, I have out best Agents working to track the hacker. I just need you to be careful, and tell us if anyone lets anything slip," Fury says before hanging up.

"Ok," I mutter. Why don't I ever get to do anything exciting?

"What's the agenda for today?" Sam says walking up to me.

"Normal schedule Bucket Head," I reply.

"Shoot, I was hoping to do something interesting," Sam grumbles walking to the detention room. I follow him, and greet the others with the same boring news. We suit up and do a standard patrol for trouble. We stopped a couple small bank robberies and three burglaries, but nothing really big happened.

"This is boring," Sam complains as we go over 15th street for the fifth time.

"I know, bit is what we were told to do," I say.

Suddenly, I see an Octobot scuttle into a sewer. "There," I exclaim pointing to the sewer.

"Ew, you want us to go in there?" Ava asks.

"Yes, I saw an Octobot, guys this is a big opportunity!" I say excited.

"Fine," Sam complains before pulling the cover up. We each slowly descend into the stinking sewers. "This is just about the grosses thing I've done," Sam complains.

"Oh come on, we're only walking around in other people's waste," I say sarcastically really hoping we can just find that Octobot and get out of here.

"Thanks, that really helped," Ava says sarcastically. We trudge through people's waste products, until we reach a big cavern.

Standing in the middle is the Octobot. "There it is!" Sam says flying towards it. We all do a mad dash towards the little robot. Sam grabs it first and suddenly we're all pulled up in a big net.

"What?" I exclaim in surprise.

"It appears we are trapped in a net," Luke says.

"Great going Bucket Head, now we're stuck," I complain.

"Hey, I didn't realize I would be a trap," Sam defends.

"Looks like we caught the Spiderbabies," Riptide says stepping out from a tunnel.

"You!" I spat with as much hatred as I could. The rest of Omega steps into the light.

"We have a warning for you," Intellect says stepping forward, "New York is our city, and we need to protect it. We can't have it over run be armatures. So you need to leave, or stop crime fighting."

"Never!" I shout.

"Well then, I guess we'll have to tell the world about you, Peter Parker," Riptide smirks at my shocked face.
