Time To Get Cosy!

I stood there, re-reading the screen to make sure I hadn’t just imagined that.

Whilst me and the boys were stunned Mr Lee jumped into action, hitting a big red button on the wall that made alarms and flashing red lights go off around the school.

‘Whilst everyone else is evacuating the premises I’m going to need your help,’ we all nodded and he beckoned us over to his computer.

‘I’m going to hack into Ringwood’s computer, see if she left any more messages or if any files have been taken. Watch the screen and make sure the number in the top right hits 0 before the one in the top left turns orange,’ he directed and we turned around, eyes wide as the numbers flew down.

‘Erm… what happens when it turns orange?’ Hale muttered as the number stopped moving and orange started flashing.

Mr Lee spun around in his chair, a look of complete shock on his face.

‘You have to find whoevers left,’ He handed us a handheld device, with a map exactly like the one on the screen, and talk us through the basics. We have 5 minutes to find the remaining 5 people and get back to the controls room. When the timer hits zero the school locks down.

We all had an earplug in our left ear that allowed us to communicate with each other as well as Mr Lee.

We all split up and took 3 separate areas of the Super Enrichment Programme site.

I ran into the hall to find Candy pinned against the wall by and electric field.

‘HELP!’ she shrieked when her wide eyes sought me out.

I darted over, trying to find a weakness in the field.

There was nothing.

‘Um… what can I do? What can I do?’ I muttered, pacing back and forth, aware of time running out.

‘Time travel!’ I exclaimed, closing my eyes and willing myself to move to the other side of the field.

I grabbed Candy’s hand travelled even further back in time to the corridor outside the hall, as I ran, pulling her along with me to the comeback room.

I found continuum there keeping Luca floating in mid-air, unable to do anything except writhe and whine.

‘CONTINUUM!’ Candy roared and he whipped around, losing concentration on Luca, who plummeted to the ground.

‘HOW DARE YOU!’ candy continued, ‘YOU PROMISED YOU WEREN’T TURNING BAD!’

Whilst they were arguing I ran to Luca and helped her up, pulling the arguing twins with me as we ran back to the controls room.

Hale and Nolan were already there with an unconscious Ringwood and Willow.

‘3… 2… 1…’ Mr Lee counted as the timer hit zero and four layers of steel locked themselves into place over the door and the lights dimmed.

‘Are we locked in here?’ Luca whimpered from the corner she’d backed herself into.

‘No, but we’re locked out of the school until further notice,’ Mr Lee replied, turning back to his computer. ‘Look at this,’

We all turned towards the screen where a document was loading.

Time to get cosy! I redid the code behind lock-down making sure you’re all locked in controls room until we’re done using the school.

‘Scratch that, time to break open the cellar and pull out the air beds. We’re gonna be here a while,’ Mr Lee replied, pulling open two new doors, one that led to the cellar and one leading to a dormitory.

‘Make your selves at home…’ He muttered, running his hands through his hair exasperatedly.
