----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I thought it was quite clever using Jasper's own words against him. The goal was to catch him by surprise and let him be completely aware of my intentions, and I believed it work. He was standing in front of me gawking at my not-so-hinted suggestion: I want you.
I thought that I could hold back and keep our relationship friendly and professional, but it seems that my restraint has vanished as soon as he showed just how much he cared for me. I wasn't just another girl. If I was, he wouldn't argue with the most powerful person at the convention nor would he punch one of his students in attempt to help me.
The consequences were too high for him not to care. After a long emotional ride I finally knew what I wanted. Despite the risk and the possible consequences, I don't want his friendship, I want him, and I want him now.
I put on my best sultry look now playing with fire.
"I'm going to bed, Dr. Andrews," was all I said. I turned around heading towards the elevators when I sent him a suggestive look over my shoulder. My eyes beckoning him to follow me, but he remained frozen in surprise. Good.
I sauntered off to the elevator swishing my hips back and forth fully aware that he was eyeing my backside. Normally I don't concur with women putting themselves on display this way, but right now I was creating the perfect show all for him and I didn't mind one bit.
Once I rounded the corner alone I found the elevators. Throughout the week they have held so many memories, more than the ones I am probably supposed to remember such as how to write up a resume. Instead all I could think about was the many times I ran into Jasper in the elevator all different experiences ranging from lust to anger to awkwardness and back.
I stepped inside expectantly hoping to find Jasper trailing behind me, but when I did not my smug smile dropped. The doors stayed open waiting for me to press a button. When I still didn't see Jasper I sighed and pressed the number five. Maybe I didn't get the message across like I wanted. I mean what more should I have done? Flashed him? Tell him straight out 'I want to have sex you'? How clueless can men be?
The doors began to slowly shut cutting me off from yet another failed effort. I tried not to get upset but being rejected twice in one day wasn't exactly a good thing. Once again I'm not good enough. My mind started to travel down the dark road of worthlessness. I was lost in my thoughts scolding myself when suddenly the elevator door made a jolting noise snapping me out of my haze.
I looked up to see a hand had caught the edge of the door right before it sealed completely off. Slowly it pulled back to let the person enter revealing a familiar man wearing a black tuxedo paired with a heated expression. His dark eyes completely filled with desire aimed straight at me sending a shiver down my spine.
Jasper took two long strides before he was directly in front of me barely leaving any space between us.
"Change of plans, we are going to my room. Now," his voice growled. I smiled as he turned around to undo the button I pressed and instead punched the number eight.
In an instant Jasper was back pressing me against the wall, his hot mouth covering my own. Every wall I'd put up during the past week was quickly burnt to ashes the second his hands were on me. After trying so hard to keep him at a distance, I was reduced to nothing but moans, all a product of his velvet soft lips. Any logical thought was muted from pleasure, replaced by an animalistic need for more. This is what I have denied myself. This is what I have craved.
