Chapter 9: Mistakes and new couples

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh... " jabbered Lillian on as she came running towards me and Alena.
"I have some big news! " she shrieked.
Her backpack was flapping behind her as she ran. Which was very uncharacteristic of her since she usually struts around in the halls like a Victoria Secrets model.

"I've got some great news... " she shrieked even though she was out of breath from running down the stairs and through the hallway.

"What is it Lils? " I asked trying to stop Her from jumping around.
"Just tell us already! " said Alena getting excited, but also impatient.
"Okay, okay... Can't. Do. It... Just too happy... Oh my god I'm gonna burst!" said Lillian inbetween shallow breaths.
Wasn't this girl supposed to be a Olympic swimmer? I mean she literally practises Three time a day and that doesn't even count Her 'fun swim time'.

"What's all this commotion about? " asked Cameron teasing us lightly.
Clide was with him. He was still angry with me about the whole Leah incident. He smiled at everyone, but when he got to me he just gave me a cold-hearted nod. Like it was me who pushed Alena down the stairs and threatened Her! It wasn't like I murdered Her or something plus she deserved being put in her place

"Lillian wants to tell is something, but she can't stop jumping around. " answered Alena while I just stared at Clide.
"Clide, can I please talk you over there? " I said taking a few steps away from the group.
"Clide please why do you keep ignoring me? " I asked feeling my voice climb higher then usual.
We don't usually fight, but when we do it always gets to me.

"I don't know... " he said not even looking at me with a frown where there should be a smile.
"If it's about what happened with Leah... " I said trying to explain myself.
Of course he interrupted me at the mention of his sweet little princess.
"You didn't have to talk to her like that. " he snapped which shocked me.
He never snapped at me before. I took a step back trying to hide the hurt expression on my face.
"You don't understand! She's Just so... " I bit down my words before I could say anything that I might regret later.

My eyes started to prickle and burn, but I was not going to cry. I was not going to show weakness.
"I don't know why you don't like Leah. What have she ever done to you? " he said pulling his fingers through his copper hair in frustration.
I snorted softly at the question and mumbled, "You'd be surprised. "
I didn't mean for Clide to hear it, but he did.
"What? "
I waved it away with my hand.

"Nothing. " I gave up feeling my mood dropping with about 60%.
I walked away from him back to Lillian, Cameron and Alena. Alena came to me squeaking even more then Lillian did.
"Did you hear? " she squealed.
I'm pretty sure the whole school could hear you, I thought but politely decided against voicing it.
"Robert and Lillian is no officially a couple! " she exclaimed almost making my eardrums burst.

Don't gete wrong I'm really happy for them, but damn can that girl shout. Lillian came bouncing towards me too.
"He asked me to be his girlfriend last night. "
We walked to where Cam and Clide were standing. There was obvious tension between them too.
When we reached them Cameron said, "I don't get why this is such amazing news. He asked you out, so what? "

I had t suppress a giggle at that comment. Of course he didn't get it, because he wasn't a girl. Now that I think about it I don't even know why I'm making such a fuss about it. Guess it's in the genetics.
"Why are you laughing? " he asked acting like a stern teacher which made me want to laugh even more.

"I'm laughing at you. " I said sharply.
"You'll never get it, because you're a guy. " said Alena teasing him a little.
"Yeah, by the time you wake and see the little hearts floating around a certain crazy haired someone it's gonna be too late. "added Lillian with a mischievous smirk.

I quickly stomped on her foot with y boots; hard enough to send the message, but with as little movement as possible.
"Ow!" whined Lillian glaring at me while Alena laughed.
She might as well have asked him if he likes me. Cameron looked at me suspiciously so I focused on the camera in my hand.
"Lillian I just have to show you those pictures we took at your house! " I said a little too enthusiastic about trying to change the topic.

"Oh I remember those pictures." said Cameron with a devious smile on his handsome face.
Wait? Handsome? Where the hell do that come from? I've spent too much time with Lilian and her suspicions!
"The ones of you and Alena in Lillian's clothes modelling around like little girls playing dress up. " he said in a high pitched girl voice.

Clide's bad mood instantly vanished at the mention of me and the word dress.
"Oh I've got to see this. " he laughed at the first picture.
"I haven't even seen you in a dress before. "
I started to regret trying to change the subject, because now everyone was laughing at me!
