"Henderson, Henderson." I got on my knees and shook him.

"Henderson, ADAM!" I almost screamed, trying to get him respond.

Henderson was unresponsive and I looked at the blood coming from the cut on his stomach. It made me queasy. His shirt was completely soaked in blood. I checked his pulse.

1..2..3..4..

It was quite faint but I was happy to note the pulse was regular. Henderson was pale but he was still quite warm but I understood that his life was in danger. I tried to wake him up again.

"Adam, ADAM, please wake up. ADAM!" I called out, shaking him.

Henderson responded "Mhmm."

"Adam, can you hear me?" I asked him.

"Mngh."

"Adam, open your eyes."

Henderson slowly opened his eyelids. "Lisa?!" I could see the shock in his features.

"Yes, listen to me. We got to get you to the hospital real quick. Can you stand up a bit? I know it'll hurt real bad."

"No, don't call the ambulance." Henderson cried out.

I looked at him surprised. "Okay then, I'll drive you there."

"But my car?" Henderson gritted out.

"Let's get Matt or Joe to take it. Give me your phone." I ordered him.

"Nah-ouch!" Henderson doubled in pain.

"Stop being stubborn." And saying so, I dug my hand in his trouser pocket to retrieve his iPhone.

I groaned as I saw it had a pattern lock.

"Care to draw me the pattern?" I asked him in a no-nonsense voice. Henderson groaned but obliged and unlocked his iPhone for me.

I found Matt in his contacts and called him.

"Hello Adam, why-" I cut off Matt.

"Matt, this is me, Lisa. I need you to come to the warehouse in the alley on Bleinsham Avenue in Gordontown. You'll find Henderson's car there, the keys will be under the car. Can you please drive it home because I am taking Adam to the Central Hospital. Please, can you do it Matt?" I asked him.

"I have many questions right now, but I'll drop the car off first. Then Joe and I will come to Central Hospital. Go ahead, Lisa." Matt agreed and hung up before I could thank him.

I looked at Henderson, who was once again on the verge of losing his consciousness.  I decided that I couldn't waste time trying to revive him and make him walk towards my car therefore I decided to quickly run towards my car, start the engine and drive into the alley right in front of where Henderson laid. I took off my hoodie and tied it around his stab wound, to stop the blood flow, then I opened one of the backdoors and slowly hoisted Henderson up while I quickly clamped a hand over his mouth as he tried to let out another scream of pain. Slowly with difficulty, I managed to get Henderson to lie on the backseat. After making sure that he was securely laid, I closed the door and retrieved the car keys from the pool of blood and wiped the keys on my jeans, made sure Henderson's car was locked and shoved them under the i20. It may not be the safest option to shove the keys under the car but that was the only one I could think of at the moment. I quickly climbed inside the driver's seat of my Vitz and drove away from Gordontown as fast as I could, ignoring the stares of some people who were around. As I was driving, I prayed that Henderson would be safe and no further danger awaited us because I didn't fancy facing those men all alone with a seriously injured Henderson.
