Adam's POV
"Where are you off to?" Sharon asked.
I raised my eyebrow up at her, quizzically. Sharon had never ever showed any interest to find out about my whereabouts, so why start now?
"Why?" I asked her.
"Tell me!" She almost screeched.
I held my hands up in surrender "Calm down. I am just going out to meet some friends."
"Friends? Or a special someone?" My aunt's voice had an evil tone to it.
My heart stopped for a moment, what was up with that evil tone?
"Friends." I answered, keeping my voice strong.
Next second, I felt pain as Sharon's palm made contact with my cheek. It took me a few seconds to register that Sharon had slapped me.
"Don't lie to me. I know you're going out to see that useless girlfriend of yours!" Sharon screamed.
My blood boiled at hearing Lisa described as 'useless girlfriend' but I kept my mouth shut. I wanted to see where Sharon was going with this.
"Don't just stare at me like that, like you know nothing. I know that Lisa Brooks is your girlfriend." Sharon said.
As I kept silent, Sharon continued "Your silence isn't going to change anything. It won't fool me. Lisa is your girlfriend, it's the TRUTH. But not for long..." Sharon trailed off. An evil smile took over her face, and she looked at me "If you wish to keep your girlfriend safe, you must break up with her."
"Or?" I asked, defiantly.
"You'll find her in midst of something no one could ever protect her from. Don't underestimate my connections. Lisa thinks I'm easy to catch but I think you better warn her that I'm not. If she takes one step forward, I'll make her regret that she was ever born." Sharon said, coldness seeping into her tone.
"What will you do?" I asked her.
"That, young man, is for me to know and for you to find out. If you want to keep that useless girl safe, break up with her." And saying so, Sharon went in.
In a fit of boldness, I called after her "You do whatever you want, but I know how to keep her safe."

Lisa's POV
Adam was late. It was half past 4 and there was no sign of him. He was supposed to meet me at the café at 4. We were planning on having a date and then going over to Matt's to plan Kylie's surprise birthday party, but it looks like I'd be taking the bus over to Matt's, alone.
I had rung up Adam many times but his phone was switched off. Why couldn't he have dropped me a text, if he wasn't going to come? It wasn't nice to just leave me sitting at a café all alone, without ordering.
The waitress came up to me "Do you want anything Ma'am?"
I was going to say no but my mind has another thought.
So what? If Adam isn't going to show up, are you going to forego a caramel frappucino and a delicious burger? Don't go all hungry to Matt's. So what if your date ditches you? Don't ditch the food.
"Ah yes, please get me caramel frappucino and a medium chicken burger with fries on the side"
The waitress nodded at me and went away to place her order.
We were supposed to leave the café around 4.45pm to get to Matt's house by 5, I had been sitting in a café for half an hour wondering when my absent boyfriend would turn up. I felt hurt and a little mad at Adam. Why would he ditch me like this?
