Adam's POV

"I am leaving now. Bye. Call me when you listen to this." I could feel so many feelings behind her clipped tone. Feelings of hurt, betrayal, fear and anger. I so wanted to call her back and reassure her I was fine, but I didn't want her to ask where I am and why I didn't come to meet her. I didn't want to lie to Lisa. Most of all, I knew if I heard her voice- I'd just ditch my plan of ignoring her and go running to meet her. Lisa had that effect on me. I took a deep breath, trying to forget Sharon's words.

"If you two decide to do something to me, one word and the whole Brooks family will be 6ft under."

How do I stop Lisa from trying to get justice for me? She's not easily going to let it go, she'll bombard me with questions and I'll have to eventually tell her the truth and I cannot tell her that. How can I tell her, that my Aunt would kill her and her family? How is she going to take it? What will happen to us?

"I don't want you to leave me Lisa." I whispered, a lone tear rolling off my cheek.

Lisa's POV

I cried and cried. I don't know how long I lay on the grass crying. I cried until I ran out of tears and ran out of energy to scream anymore. My phone hadn't rung at all. I kept checking it periodically. There was no text message, no call, nothing. I pulled myself up to a sitting position and laid against the huge tree. Mine and Adam's tree.

Flashback

We were just driving around the city, revelling in the comfortable silence that had descended upon us. We didn't want to go to any cafe or park for our date. Adam found them too crowded. We needed our privacy. Adam and I liked to keep our dates simple and away from crowded places. Half of our dates were spent eating take-away in Adam's car. He would stop somewhere and we'd just eat, talk and cuddle inside the car. But today, we decided to be adventurous. Adam wanted to drive to this place in the city that he heard was an amazing place for a date, we went there and found it swarming with couples so we turned back and now headed to nowhere.

"Shall I drive into this small by lane? This place looks cosy." Adam remarked.

I shrugged. This by lane had trees on either side, it looked like an entry way to a forest.

Adam turned in and we drove on passing rows and rows of trees.

"Are you sure we are not in a forest?" I asked him.

"Check the GPS." He said.

I looked at the GPS and I could see that there was a little clearing further ahead on the right and I told him that. About few minutes later, we reached the clearing. Adam drove on further and soon the rural forestry scenery changed into rows and rows of houses. Adam kept driving, turning wherever he felt like. I was getting quite worried.

"I think we are really far from home, Adam." I told him, worriedly.

"Yes, so?" Adam asked, his face flushed with excitement.

"We could get lost." I was worried.

"Lisa, this is an adventure and don't worry the GPS will guide us back home. Quit worrying and enjoy the adventure." Adam said, reaching out and squeezing my hand.

I shook my head, the worry was still present. "Well, as long as you know how to get us back home- then I guess we'll be okay. But, can we stop somewhere? I am hungry."

We had bought food from McDonalds, we hadn't touched them yet and it was almost 4pm, I was super hungry.

Adam looked at me apologetically, he stopped the car and reached out to the rear seats where we had kept the food. Adam took the burger and the fries and dropped it on my lap.
