"We've had a girls day out after a long time." Commented Sally, admiring her newly manicured nails.
"Yes, that's true. We've been so caught up with extra-curriculars and stuff that we've hardly had any time to spare." Agreed Kylie.
"And thank you so much for helping me escape from the Devil. If I had to stay with for one more minute, I'd go barking mad by now." I said, earning laughter from the girls.
"Oh dear Lisa, that's what best friends are for." Said Sally putting her arm around me.
"And don't worry, we'll always try to save you from the Devil because if you go even more crazier than this, even the best psychiatrists wouldn't be able to help you." Kylie and Sally giggled whilst I gave them a mock-frown.
"Way to ruin the moment, Ky. Way to ruin it. Lisa is very much feeling hurt." I said, putting my hand to my heart in a dramatic manner.
"Do you want me to make you feel better?" A deep voice came from behind us.
The three of us turned behind us. Adam, Matt and Joe were standing behind us and judging by the smirk on Adam's face, I knew who spoke those words.
Kylie started blushing furiously upon seeing Matt. Even Matt was blushing slightly. Matt had asked Kylie out on a date and Kylie was yet to respond to it.
"Um Sally, weren't you saying that there were some good soundtracks which we could give the choreographer for the musical? Can you just show me where the store is?" Joe looked at Sally, meaningfully.
Sally looked confused but soon she uttered "Ah yes, I'll show it to you. Lisa, we could check out some gifts to buy for Jenna because there's an accessory store, a gadget store and a perfumery next to the store we are going."
I gave her a weird look, why would I be buying a gift for Jenna? It's not her birthday and neither is it her or Luke's anniversary. So why would I buy any gifts?
"Wh-?" I was cut off by Joe.
"Adam, man, we could even get you a new iPod cover. C'mon let's go. Matt, Kylie- I hope you don't mind us leaving you two. We've all got some urgent shopping to do and you two can discuss about the Art exhibition." And saying so, Joe dragged a protesting Adam away whilst Sally dragged a confused me along.
As soon as we were out of sight of Matt and Kylie, Sally and Joe stopped and looked at us in an accusing manner.
"What was all that about?" Adam and I asked at the same time.
Sally and Joe looked at both of us and shook their heads.
"You two are seriously the most dumbest people I've ever seen. Didn't you get anything at all?" Sally asked, in an exhausted manner.
Adam and I shook our heads.
"Oh dear God! How do you two even survive in this world? Matt and Kylie were both there. Matt is a guy, Kylie is a girl. Kylie blushed when she saw Matt, Matt too blushed when he saw Kylie-" Joe was cut off by Adam.
"So what does that have to do with you dragging us all the way here on some false 'urgent shopping' mission?"
Kylie face palmed herself whilst Joe let out an exasperated sigh.
"I was just coming there when a certain someone interrupted me." Joe said, narrowing his eyes.
"Okay, chill chill. Continue." Adam said, holding his hands up in surrender.
"You see Matt asked Kylie out but she did not respond to it yet, so we left them all alone to settle that out together without them feeling shy around us. Give the couple a bit of privacy, for heaven's sake!"
