"Jenna, would you be knowing any good lawyers around?" I asked my sister, who was currently scrolling through her phone for gift ideas.

At the mention of the word 'lawyers', Jenna looked up at me, incredulously. "Lawyers? What do you need lawyers for?"

I sighed, my sister was a curious one. "I was just asking."

"You don't 'just ask' for stuff." Jenna replied with air quotations. "You are a pretty serious person at times. Also when you ask questions, you only ask questions which you mean to ask."

"Oh c'mon Jenna, I was just asking for lawyers." I tried to act nonchalant.

Jenna put down her phone and came over to where I was sitting. She sat down next to me and looked straight at me. "Tell me the truth. What happened? Why are you searching for lawyers? Are you in trouble? What did you do? Are you-are you...are you dealing with drugs? Oh God, no. Lisa, how? How c-"

I cut off Jenna before she could spew more ridiculous accusations at me "Stop with the questions! I'm not in any trouble and no, I don't do drugs. What gave you that idea? Do I look like a drug dealer to you? I'm trying to help a friend. Please Jenna, do tell me if you know any good lawyers around?"

Jenna looked at me, surprised. "I don't know how serious the problem is or what friend you are helping but I could say that this problem bothers you a lot."

Now it was my turn to look at my sister, incredulously. What was she? Psychic?

"Don't give me that look. This problem must be pretty serious if you've forgotten that Luke's parents are both lawyers." Jenna said.

I almost choked on my coffee. Of course! How silly was I? How could I forget that Luke's parents were lawyers? Jenna was right, I was worrying too much about this problem. I turned to look at Jenna, my eyes shining "Of course Jenna. Oh man, how could I forget? THANK YOU!" And I pulled Jenna into a bear hug.

Jenna laughed "Quit getting so hyper." And gently pulled herself away. "If you want, I can talk to Luke and ask him what his parents specialise in."

I looked at Jenna gratefully "You would really do that? For me?"

Jenna smiled and nodded her head, "I'd do anything for my baby sister."

I hugged Jenna again. "I love you Jenna."

Jenna kissed my head "I love you too, baby."

****************

"Ahhhhh I'm so excited!" Kylie screamed.

"Quit screaming so much, or you'll have deaf best friends." Sally said, sipping on her strawberry milk shake.

"Oh c'mon, remember that day in the mall? All we heard was Joe this and Joe that and even today morning you were talking non-stop in the car about how Joe was taking you to the dance and all." Kylie pointed an accusing finger at Sally.

"At least I was not screaming." Sally said, under her breath but Kylie heard it.

"At least I wasn't the one having a mini- breakdown in the mall because I couldn't find a proper dress that quote Joe would like unquote." Kylie fired back.

"Hey, my breakdown was rational." Sally argued.

"Are you saying my excitement is irrational?" Kylie's tone got louder.

"Yes." Sally replied, unflinchingly.

"How-" Kylie was cut off by me.

"Girls, shut up okay? Both of you were rational in your own right. Kylie, do quit screaming. We get it that you are excited but we do need our hearing intact. Both of you are excited because your boyfriends are taking you out on the dance. Alright?" I looked at my two crazy best friends.
