I Sketched My Mate? WTF? Chapter 15

Amy’s P.O.V.

“You can sit down.” Matt tells me.

I sat down on the bed and opened up the pop.

“So…what are you doing here?” Matt asks.

“I thought you said I’m welcomed here.” I say.

“I did and you are.” Matt says.

“I had to leave home for a while.” I say.

“Why? What happened?” Matt asks.

“Just something my brother said made me upset.” I say.

“What was it?” Matt asks.

I shake my head. “Nothing important.” I tell him.

“You wouldn’t be here if it was nothing.” He says.

I sigh. “I was telling my brother that he should quit smoking and then he tells me that I’m not mom and that I should stop telling him what to do.” I tell Matt.

He was silent for a while.

“I’m sure your brother didn’t mean it.” Matt says.

I shrug my shoulders. “Doesn’t matter; what he said, I’m going to remember it.” I say.

“But he’s your brother, you’ll forgive him one day.” Matt tells me.

“You’re right.” I say.

Matt smiles. “So what do you want to do?” He asks.

I shrug my shoulders. “I don’t know. How about we get to know each other?” I ask.

“Sure, I’d like that.” Matt says.

I smile. “Why don’t you start?” I ask.

“Alright, how many brothers do you have?” He asks.

“Two.” I say.

“How about you?” I ask.

“One.” He tells me.

“Are you dating anybody?” Matt then asks.

I shake my head. “No, I haven’t found anyone yet that I like. What about you?” I ask.

“Not dating anyone either, waiting for the right one.” He says.

“What are you looking for in a guy?” Matt asks.

“I don’t know, I guess I’m looking for a guy who’s protective, loving, and who would never hurt me.” I tell him truthfully.

Matt nods his head.

“Why do you want to know?” I ask.

“Was just wondering what kind of guys you were interested in.” He tells me.

“Do you think you would ever be interested in me?” He then asks.

I laugh at that but then I looked into his eyes and saw that he was serious.

“Why are you asking that?” I ask.

“Because I want to know if I have a chance.” He tells me.

“I don’t know, it depends on how serious you are about wanting to date me.” I tell him honestly.

“So what do I have to do to let you know that I’m serious?” He asks.

“Not sure, to be honest I’ve never dated anyone before.” I say.

Matt chuckles a little. “Well, should I take you out on a date and see if you want to date me?” He asks.

I nod my head. “Yeah.” I tell him.

I hope I’m not to regret saying yes to Matt because for some reason I feel like I want to get to know him and that there’s more to him that I don’t know about yet.

“So, when should I pick you up?” Matt asks.

I shrug my shoulders. “How about thirty minutes after school gets done?” I ask.

Matt nods his head. “Sounds good to me. Did you want to have the date tomorrow?” He asks.

I nod my head. “Sure.” I say.
