Chapter 10

The rest of the car ride was very quiet until we pulled up to the Cullen house. If possible, it took my breath away. It was brown and black and was surrounded by trees, very hidden, perfect for a vampire. I open the door to the car and step out, "This is so beautiful." I say, Alice smiles, "Come on!" She says as she tugs at my arm. I laugh and follow her into the house, it was ten times prettier then the outside. I followed Alice to what I thought was the living room to see a whole room full of vampires. I saw everyone that I saw hunting the night, including two others. One had white hair and the other had brown hair, I was guessing they were Mr. and Mrs. Cullen. "Hi, you must be Melody. I'm Mrs. Cullen, but you can call me Esme." Mrs. Cullen says as she comes to give me a hug. Mr. Cullen comes over to me and shakes my hand, "I'm Dr. Cullen, but you can call me Carlisle." He tells me. I smile, "Nice to meet you."

I feel someone poking my shield, I look out of the corner of my eye to see Edward, probably it was him. I felt like I trusted this people, I felt almost at home, "Can you excuse me, but where's the restroom?" I asked. "Yeah, sure, it's just around the corner and the first door on your left." Carlisle tells me. I smile, "Thank you." I follow his directions till I reach the bathroom. I walk in and quickly close the door, I look around and go over to the mirror and take out my contacts because they were bothering me. I slowly took them out to see my blood shot eyes. I sigh, I wish I could tell them the truth. I dispose of the contacts and put the new ones in, I'm about to flush the toilet so they think I went when I hear the Cullen's talking. "I can't hear her thoughts, it's like she's a shield like you Bella." I hear Edward say. "That's strange, well at least we know she's human because if she wasn't we would smell it." I hear Carlisle say, I flush the toilet and open the door, "Everyone be quiet?, we'll talk about it tonight." I hear Bella say. I slowly open the door and walk back into the living room to see everyone staring at me. I pretend not to notice and sit down on the couch next to Alice with Jasper next to her.
