"Guys. Luke is going to kill us if I do this. More me than you. But you guys too because you brought me." I sighed. We was at a piercing and tattoo shop. Kian was filling out papers to get a nose piercing. Something I've wanted forever, and he knew that.

"He'll get over it. Melanie. You're 16, almost 17. He got his lip pierced when he was like 16 or 17!" Jc whispered, "You'll be fine. He might raise hell about it, but Kian and I will be there. He'll probably have the boys try and back him up but it's fine. I promise. We all knew you wanted this piercing whether you was old enough to sign for it or had one of us sign for it." Jc finished from beside me.

"I just don't want them to be mad at you guys."

"We will be fine Mel. He won't stay mad long." Kian smiled.

"Hemmings?" The piercer yelled out. Attention was drawn our way as we walked in to the alcohol smelling room.

"Alright sit here please." The skinny man said as he got the needle ready. He was cleaning it. He grabbed the nose ring and placed it on a napkin. I let out a shaky breath. Kian grabbing my hand.

"You'll be fine. My nose didn't hurt." Kian said from beside of me.

I nodded before the piercer stood up and walked infront of me.

"You'll feel a little pinch. Your right eye might water. It's the nerves reacting to the needle. If both eyes water, your crying." He tried to crack a joke to ease the tension.

He picked the needle up and placed a metal tube inside my nose to keep it from going any farther than he wanted. He pierced my nose with the needle. I gasped before a tear ran down the face. I squeezed Kian's hand tighter than intended.

"All done babygirl. You did great." He smiled at me, flirtatiously. He could be any other than 20 or 21.

"Alright babe. Let's go." Jc said, interlacing his hand with mine then kissing the top of my head. Rae, the piercer, looked flushed. We walked out of the parlor. We both jerked our hands away at the same time, wiping them on our jeans.

"Gross! Never again! But thanks for getting me out of an awkward situation." I yelled, laughing.

"You're welcome and never speak of this again. I'd do it again if I had to." He smiled back. He brought me into a hug before getting into Kians truck and going back to my house where we said goodbye and drove off. I could see Ashton's rental truck in the driveway. He's renting the truck for as long as we are here, which is unknown at the moment.

We arrived at the door, me walking in last and pretending to scratch my nose to keep the boys, mainly Luke, from seeing it.

"Did you have fun with Jc and Kian?" Luke asked.

"Yeah but I have to go to the bathroom real quick." I yelled back down. I heard an okay before shutting the door and grabbing a small baby bandaid and placing it on top of the fresh piercing.

I walked back out of the bathroom and down the steps before jumping on to the couch, where Ashton was sitting. Luke and Calum was on the love seat while Mikey was on the recliner.

"What did you do today?" Luke asked, suspiciously.

"Uh- we- uh." I was struggling to make up an excuse.

"We went to get food and walked around the city." I finally gathered my words. They apparently bought the excuse because they went back to playing the Xbox.

I laid my head in Ashton's lap, him playing with my hair, where I dosed off.

"The hell? What's on her nose?" Calum said, inspecting the bandaid that was coming up.

I jerked my hand up, pushing Calum's face away from being able to see it.

"It's nothing. Just s-scratched it earlier. It's f-fine." I stuttered.

"Yeah. No. Don't believe that. What really happened?" He looked at me suspiciously before pinning my arms above my head with Ashton's help and using the other to peel off the band aid, releasing the shiny ring to be seen. He gasped before running off, probably to tell Luke. I placed my head in my hands before groaned. I'll end up having to take it out.

"He's going to kill you Melanie." Ashton said through gritted teeth.

I shrugged before Luke walked in. I quickly hid my face again. Luke just had to sit on my right side, and that was the side the piercing was. I glared at Calum and Ashton, before getting up and running up the stairs. I placed a new bandaid on it.

I just hope I can keep it hid for a while.
