The nerve of him! How could he think a stupid little apology would make me talk to him again. He called me a slut and compared me to those girls that have no respect for themselves, whatsoever. It's ridiculous!
I don't care if he never apologized to anyone before, he should learn to think before he speaks. That mouth of his is going to get him killed one of these days!
"Hey, don't let him get to you." Luke smiled, placing a hand on my shoulder.
Then, to make things worse, he tried to pick a fight with Luke! I knew Harry was bad, I just didn't think he would make my life harder than it already was.
I should've known, from the first time I talked to that asshole, that things would head south. Just because he earned my father's trust, that doesn't mean he had a right to mess with anything I'm doing. So what if he thinks Luke is bad, he hasn't done anything bad to me so he's fine. Maybe he's changed, can Harry not see that?
I sighed, "I'm sorry, it's just...I can't believe he compared me to them!" I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest and turning back to where I had left Harry.
Luke and I had decided on eating in his car, since Harry, unfortunately, found where we had been eating lunch these past few days. I hated Harry for ruining our lunch, but, at the same time, I felt bad.
He was trying to make things right, which, according to Sabrina, he's never done before. I know I said I didn't care that it was his first time apologizing to a girl he had hurt, but now I feel a little guilty. I should've just given him a chance, at least this once.
Luke's hand gently turned me to face him, making me look into those big blue eyes of his. "Come on, don't make that face. Where's the smile I love to see?"
At his sweet words, how could I not smile? He's been helping me cope with the way Harry has been acting and, so far, I'm thankful for it.
"Thanks, Luke. I hate it when he gets to me." I sighed, placing my hand over his.
It's only been three days, but I already trust Luke with a lot. He's been listening to me go on and on about how much I despise the way Harry acted and not once did he interrupt. How could Harry say Luke is worst than he is, when he's done nothing but help me get over his actions and hurtful words.
He smiled, "Alright, you're in need for some cheering up. My friends and I are throwing a party later on. It's not as big and fancy as Jennifer's, but they're fun. You should come by."
I wasn't sure how my parents would react to going to a party without Harry being there, but I had to try to convince them. Luke was trying to cheer me up, so I had to try and get their permission.
. . . . . . . . .
After the last bell rang, I rode the bus home with Jake.
Jake nudged my arm, "Why are you so happy? It's not normal to be this happy after school." He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes, "I got invited to another party." I smiled.
I was actually pretty excited for this party. Not only do I get to relax a bit and just have some fun, but I'll also be spending some more time with Luke.
He rolled his eyes, "What's so fun about going to a party with that asshole, Harry?"
I laughed, "Absolutely nothing, which is why I'm going with Luke. I met him on Sunday at the café he works at." I practically squealed.
Alright, I'm getting way too excited here. I couldn't seem so eager to Luke about going to his party, I had to be casual and calm about it.
Jake suddenly slapped his hand onto my arm, gripping it tightly. "Please tell me you're joking."
