It was the day of the funeral and everyone who goes to Baxter High School will be attending. As most people knew, Anne help raised a lot of money at Baxter High. It was the one thing everyone knew about her, other than the fact she was a millionaire. Not only that, but everyone knew her as someone who was so incredibly kind.
I knew exactly how kind Anne was, I never really got to thank her for saving me at the auction. She probably had no idea she had done a huge favor for me, but I'm still thankful for it. It's thanks to her that I didn't have to worry about the twins and I going on a date.
"You ready, honey?" Dad asked, knocking gently on my door.
I wasn't sure how this was going to go and I couldn't back out now, Harry needed as much support as possible. "Yeah." I sighed.
I haven't spoken to Harry or seen him since yesterday, so I was worried of how he is going to act when he sees me. The last two times I spoke to him, I ended up crying and I really don't want to go through that again. I keep telling myself he doesn't mean any of it, but I just can't forget the cold look on his face when he said those things to me. I've been doing my best to stay strong for him, but it's just hard sometimes. I've, thankfully, had Louis helping me through everything, but I still feel horrible every time.
"Is it alright if Louis comes with us?" I asked, knowing very well I'll need him with me.
Dad nodded, "Of course, sweetie. You've been hanging around that Tomlinson boy a lot, are you and Harry not together anymore?" He asked.
The only reason dad knows Louis was because his mom is a world wide designer and his father is a lawyer. Although Louis doesn't really talk about his father, dad knows him from work. They've had a few cases hear and there. Dad would always tell me he's a good guy, who's great at his job. I haven't really met them, but hearing about them makes me wonder if Louis is thinking of becoming a lawyer, just like his father or-
Wait... did dad asked if... what?!
I was actually quite shocked dad thought Louis and I were dating, even more at the fact that my father thought Harry and I were "together" all this time. Things just got a lot more uncomfortable for me, since, you know, Harry practically hates me at the moment.
I shook my head, "Harry and Louis are just friends of mine, dad. Harry has been going through a tough time and hasn't exactly been the same since he found out. Louis has been comforting me, I don't know how I would be right now if it wasn't for him." I explained.
Dad cocked a brow, looking confused. "What do you mean by that?"
I sighed and turned to face my father, "Do you remember when I said those hurtful things... after mom died?" I asked, earning a nod from dad. "Well, Harry is going through that right now. He told me that he didn't care for me or either one of his friends, that he didn't need them there to help him. I just feel terrible that I can't do anything to help him." I explained.
This was actually the first truthful thing about Harry that I've ever told my father. Dad has no idea what a player Harry actually is and, frankly, I wouldn't want him to find out. Who knows how he'd react if he knew I'd been going around town with a "womanizer," as people call him.
Dad placed a hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring squeeze, "Don't worry, honey, he'll come around. You did, so I'm sure he will too. Now, call Louis and make sure he gets here soon or we'll be late." He smiled, before walking out of my room.
I sighed, "I'm nothing like Harry, dad. I don't think he's going to recover as quickly as I did." I whispered.
