-Aurora Jones' Point of View-

With the amount of homework I had to do, Saturday and Sunday morning went by quicker than I cared to notice. I looked at the clock that read 12:30 PM.

I was just finishing up some chores, when I heard my phone vibrate and an unfamiliar number appear on my screen. A text.

iMessage from Unknown Number:
"Hey, you! It's Sabrina! The boys, Jennifer, and I are gonna go grab some lunch. You up to join us?"

I smiled and saved Sabrina's number. I quickly made my way downstairs and noticed my mom and dad talking to my younger brother. They looked pretty mad at him for some reason.

I cocked a brow, "Is everything alright? What's going on?"

My brother turned to look at me, I could tell he needed help with something. I wonder what kind of trouble he's gotten himself into now?

Mom crossed her arms over her chest, "Jake, decided he was going out without letting us know."

I cocked a brow, "Excuse me?"

"Your brother, here, snuck out to go to that party you went to." Dad spoke while glaring at my younger brother.

I cocked a brow, "What?! How did you even know where this party was going to be?!"

He rolled his eyes, "We weren't even allowed in, so I came right back home."

Dad shook his head, "That doesn't change the fact that you snuck out!"

I was about to say something, but another text made my phone buzz.

iMessage from Sabrina:
"Harry is on his way, didn't really give us much of a choice to decide who would pick you up. Sorry about that. :/"

I sighed, "You should know better Jake, that party wasn't even all that good. I wasn't there for long and ended up coming home early. Go easy on him guys, ok?" I smiled.

My parents didn't say anything, but the sound of my phone vibrating again made them turn to me with a questioning look.

iMessage from Harry:
"On my way to go get you, better be ready in ten, I don't like waiting."

I rolled my eyes, "Guys. A few friends of mine invited me out to eat, Harry offered to pick me up. May I go?" I asked looking at my mother and father.

Dad smiled, "See, son, you should learn a thing or two from your sister."

Jake rolled his eyes, "How do you know she's not just going to sneak away with that Harry guy?"

I rolled my eyes, "Because I can show them the texts from Sabrina asking if I wanted to join them, stupid!" I laughed.

Jake rolled his eyes, "How did you even start talking to that guy, anyway? Isn't he one of the most popular guys in school?"

I rolled my eyes, "He's just popular, I guess I can call it that, not famous. Don't make it seem like a big deal."

I didn't see Harry's popularity as a good thing. People around school were always trying to get into business and always posting stuff about him on that blog. Why would anyone see that as a good thing? If that were me, I'd be annoyed.

"What time will he be coming for you?" Mom asked.

My phone vibrated, making me glance at it.

iMessage from Harry:
"Why haven't you replied? I'm turning into your street, you better not make me wait long or I'll go get you myself."

Still as rude as ever and doesn't he know it's dangerous to text and drive?!

I sighed, "Right now, actually. Sorry."

Dad smiled, "It's alright, honey, go ahead."

I quickly ran upstairs to comb my hair and slip on my black vans. I wasn't exactly as girly as I was yesterday. I had some jeans on, with a t-shirt, I slipped on my sweater knowing very well how cold New York could get at this time of year.

I looked into my mirror and felt a bit nervous. Why does Harry keep doing these things? Last night we were taking about how he only asked me to be his date because we couldn't stand each other, next thing I know he was beating a guy's face for my sake. Now he's on his way to pick me up to join our ...friends, can I call them that now, for lunch.

After waiting a few more minutes, a knock on the door could be heard. My heart began beating fast and I began feeling nervous again. I hated when my body acted like that, it was just Harry.

Dad opened the door and smiled, "Good to see you again, Harry. Here for Aurora?" He smiled.

I sighed, Of course he's here for me, dad. Why else would he be here?

Jake scoffed, "I don't see what's so good about seeing that guy, why don't you stay here and play video games with me? Like old times! You in?" He smiled, looking at me.

Harry chuckled, as dad let him into the house. "I'm sorry, buddy, but I'm going to have to borrow your sister for a little bit. Our friends are waiting for us."

I could tell Harry was doing his best to keep himself from snapping at my little brother and I could tell that little brat was trying to bring out Harry's bad side. I knew he didn't like him, but I didn't think he would try to embarrass him in front of mom and dad.

Jake rolled his eyes, "I'm not a child, don't talk to me like that. You don't have to pretend to be nice to me just to get into my sister's pants. I don't like you and I really don't think you're good enough for her." He snapped.

For a little brother that rarely showed how much he cares for me, he was actually doing a pretty good job at trying to scare the boys away. I didn't think he would do anything like this, so this was very comforting.

"Jacob Taylor Jones, you watch your mouth!" Dad scolded. "Go to your room this instant. You're not exactly off the hook just yet!"

Jake muttered something that I wasn't able to hear, before he made his way up the stairs.

Dad sighed, "Sorry about that, Harry. He's never been good at talking right to boys Aurora brings home."

My eyes widened, "Dad!"

I avoided Harry's gaze and kept looking at my dad. I could see Harry staring at me from the corner of my eye and I refused to let him get me flustered again.

He made it seem like I brought boys home all the time, when I really only had two boyfriends. One I dated for about seven months, my freshman year, before I found him making out with the captain of the cheer squad. The other lasted about two years, staring my sophomore year, but we decided to break up knowing distance was going to make our relationship harder.

Harry scratched the back of his neck, "Guess I'm not the first one to meet you, huh?" Harry sighed.

"Enough with the act, we all know what you want from my sister. Thankfully, I was able to keep the other two away from her and I'll do the same with you!" Jake shouted from upstairs.

"Jake, I already told you to go to your room!" Dad shouted, letting out an exasperated sigh.

"You two better get out of here before Jake starts using his colorful language again. I'll see you later sweetheart, no later than ten. Got it, Harry?" Dad smiled.

Harry nodded, "Of course, sir." He confirmed, before grabbing my hand and leading me towards his car.
