-Harry Styles' Point of View-

As Aurora let me into her house, I was greeted by her father who was sitting on the couch. I'm guessing Mrs. Jones had gone off to bed, since she wasn't anywhere in sight. I was kinda disappointed when I didn't see Mrs. Jones, she'll probably go a lot easier on me than Mr. Jones will.

"My goodness, what happened to the both of you?!" He questioned sternly, making his way towards his daughter.

He placed both hands on his daughter's cheeks and examined the scratch on her face. It didn't look as bad as my face, but I still feel bad. It does look like it hurt her, which made me feel slightly guilty ...this never happens, so I'll keep these alien feelings to myself.

I could see how angry Mr. Jones was just by looking into his eyes. I had to explain everything and hope he would actually hear me out.

"Dad, it's alright. I'm fine, it was my fault. I got involved with-

"Aurora, go up to your room. I'd like your date to explain to me what happened." Mr. Jones spoke.

I could tell Aurora didn't want to leave without explaining something to her father, herself, but it didn't look like Mr. Jones was going to allow her to do that.

I turned to face her and placed a hand on her shoulder, "It's alright, I'll take care of it. Just go get some rest." I smiled.

I may not actually have interest in Aurora, but that doesn't mean I don't care about her. If I have a chance to protect her and keep her away from harm, I'm going to take that chance and do it. Mr. Jones is counting on me and I cannot allow myself to let him down.

Mr. Jones crossed his arms over his chest and looked straight at me, "Would you like to start explaining or should I just skip to the part where I never allow you to see my daughter again?"

My eyes widened, "Sir, please hear me out." I sighed.

I couldn't let him do that, I needed Aurora to keep the clingy girls away. I know it's not exactly best to use her for that, but it's better than using her for sexual pleasures.

I took in a breath before speaking, "There were these guys at the party, who were causing trouble. According to Aurora, they were bothering another girl outside the mansion and she stepped in to help her. I was careless and allowed one of my friends to separate me from her. Unfortunately, the two guys bothering Aurora thought it would be fun to mess around with her. I might have gotten a little carried away in defending her and while she was trying to get the guy off of me, his elbow hit her face. I'm so sorry, sir, I didn't mean for any of this to happen, especially Aurora getting hurt."

I expected him to get angry with me and to tell me just as he said he was going to tell me. I expected him to tell me to stay away from his daughter and that he'd never let me take her out again.

What I didn't expect was for him to stand in front of me, while laughing. I just stayed silent and waited for him to explain why he was laughing at what I had just said, when he was suppose to be yelling in my face.

"My boy, you're the first boy to ever tell me you involved yourself in a fight for the sake of my daughter. I'm not angry, I'm relieved. You risked yourself for the safety of my daughter and, for that, I thank you." He smiled, patting my shoulder.

"T-Thank you, sir, I didn't expect for you to even listen to anything I was going to say." I chuckled nervously.

This wasn't an act, I really was intimidated by Mr. Jones. Robin has told me a thing or two about him and one of them is his involvement with the CIA. He's an agent, a tech agent, and knows his way around files and computers. I seriously think he knows every little thing about me and if he does ...I'm surprised he hasn't chased me out of his home.

That's a good thing, idiot! I scolded myself.

"He got a few hits on you, but you don't look like you lost that fight." He chuckled.

I nodded, "Aurora got hurt because of them, there was no way I'd allow them to beat me. Honestly, I would've don't a lot worst than I actually did if my mates hadn't come out to stop everything." I sighed.

I've never been so honest with anyone, let alone the parent of the girl I just took out. I never stuck around to meet the parents. I was more of a fuck and go kind of guy.

"May I tell you something?" He asked, before walking over to the couch and sitting down on a large chair beside the couch.

I followed him and sat on the couch, "Of course." I nodded.

"I've never seen my wife and daughter so happy like I did today. They've always gotten along, but they were both just so happy. Aurora, well because you asked her to be your date. She may not have shown it, but I can tell my little girl was happy that you asked her to be your date. Now, my wife was happy... well because she got to spend time with her stepdaughter again." He smiled.

Stepdaughter?

"I thought Mrs. Jones was her mother?"

He sighed and shook his head, "My late wife, Delilah Jones, passed when Aurora was ten years old. It was a tough time for us, but she managed. They get along nicely, but today was the first time Rose actually spent a long time with Aurora and for that I have to thank you." Mr. Jones smiled.

I was so confused when I heard this, "She seems so close to her stepmom, she even calls her mom. I have a stepfather and I can't even talk to him as nice as Aurora does with Mrs. Jones."

Mr. Jones laughed, "Aurora didn't want to at first. She acted just like you with Rose. After Rose comforted her on her mother's fourth year anniversary, when she was fourteen, she started calling her mom." He smiled.

Well that's weird. Not matter how kind Robin is to me, I'll never be able to call him my father. It's nothing personal, he just won't be able to take my father's place ...even though he lives out of town and I rarely get to see him.

I shook my head, "You don't have to do that, all I did was ask your daughter to be my date. It's not something for you to thank me for." I chuckled, "I half expected you to chase me away once I set foot into this house." I said, making him laugh.

"I'm not going to lie. When Aurora came home and asked us if she can be your date for this party, I wasn't very happy. Then I met you and saw how much of a good young man you were, I allowed it. Now that I know you got in a fight in order to protect my little girl, I can trust you with her no matter what." He smiled, patting my shoulder.

I felt kinda happy that Mr. Jones thought so highly of me, but I felt guilty that it was anything but the truth. I wasn't that bad of a guy, but I wasn't exactly a good guy either.

I've done many things that I'm not proud of, things I don't wish to remember or share with Aurora. I just hope Mr. Jones doesn't find out. Who knows how he'd react if he finds out someone who sleeps around with girls, uses them whenever he gets bored, and hurts them the day after he gets what he wants, just took his daughter out as his date..
