My Youtuber Friend

Lily's Pov
I woke up in my bed, got dressed and headed out to the living room. Jack was away recording and Emily was at the job she finally got for being a nurse. I was alone for now, sitting on the couch. I didn't really feel like watching TV or reading one of my books called 'My Youtuber Friend'. A/N see what I did there? I really just wanted to go for a walk, but I had to have permission from Jack. Hopefully he'll be done soon.

(Time Skip)
Jack walked from down the hall with an empty coffee mug at hand. He rinsed it out and set it in the sink "Mornin Lily" he said smiling. I smiled back "Morning Jack" He came over towards me and said "So, what are you going today Miss. Mcloughlin?"

"Well, Mr. Mcloughlin" I started, Jack chuckled "I was hoping to go for a walk if that's okay with you"

Jack nodded "Yeah, you can go for a walk, I don't mind. Here." He said and dug into his pocket pulling out 10 Euro and handing it to me "You can go buy yourself something pretty" I chuckled "Thanks Jack" I smiled "You're welcome, go grab your phone, be safe, be back in 2 1/2 (half) hours" he smiled back.

I walked to my room and grabbed my phone off the charger. I also grabbed a thin blue jacket. I walked out my room and headed to the door.

(Time Skip)
I walked down the street of the town. Many people and colors were seen in my eye shot, but the one thing that caught my eye was a dog. He was rather thin, a puppy, and he had no collar around his neck. He looked to be a Jack Russell Terrier. The dog was crying as people just walked off and ignored him.

Since everybody didn't pay the dog any attention, I went over to him. As soon as he noticed me, his tail went crazy "Come here, puppy" I said. I smiled as the small Jack Russell Terrier walked over to me. He licked my face, I giggled. I looked Into his blue eyes, they reminded me of Jack's eyes the way they sparkled. I could tell just from looking at him he was full of intelligence and life. I couldn't just leave him out here to die, everyone deserves a second chance, animal or not. I quickly went to find the nearest store and went up to the store clirk. I asked them if they had any dog food,they pointed me towards the direction of this aisle I had to go down. I found a small bag for only €8.99, I grabbed it off the shelf and went to the counter to purchase it. After purchasing it, I walked back outside to see the small dog still there sitting on the cement. I ran back over to him, he wagged his tail again in excitement. I opened the bag and dumped a little bit out. The dog happily ate the food quickly. I decided to give the dog a name instead of calling him 'The Dog' or 'Puppy' "I'm going to call you...Lucky" I said to him. He looked up at me and whimpered for more food. I dumped some more out for him. After he ate the food he came over and stood between my legs. I could feel Lucky shivering up against my legs. I know to me it my seem warm out, but for him, being a short haired puppy, he seemed cold. I took my jacket off, picked him up, and wrapped him in it. I walked back home with the dog food still in my hand.

I finally made back it to the apartments. I was still outside, I set Lucky down and sat down on the side walk. He crawled into my lap, I started petting him, he licked my face. "So, im guessing you don't have a mom or dad either huh?" I said. Lucky got off my lap and sat next to me. I stood up, I opened the dog food bag so Lucky could still get food if he got hungry. "Hold on Lucky, I'll be right back okay?" He looked up at me for a quick second and went back to eating. I ran inside and opened the door to Jacks apartment. He was at the kitchen table on his phone. He looked up at me "Back so soon? Its only been an hour or so" I smiled "I know" Jack looked at me "Uh oh, what'd you do?" He said jokingly. "I found a dog and I was wondering if I could keep him, Please?" I said. Jack gave me a frown "Sorry, Lily, but we can't keep him" my face immediately turned to a frown "What!?!" Jack sighed "Lily, we can't afford a dog, plus he might have fleas"

"But Jack, you don't have to take care of him! I will, do not think I'm responsible enough?"

"No, no, Lily, I do think you're responsible enough, its just that Emily's pregnant, he could hurt the babies and this isn't his home, he's a stray"

"But Jack! I'll be responsible, I'll take care of him! He needs a home"

"Lily, this isn't his home, this your home, you cannot keep the dog" he said in a more strict voice. I started tearing up "No, this isn't my home, this is yours" I said and walked back out the door. I found Lucky outside laying down on the cement waiting for me. I sat down next to him, he crawled in my lap. Jack doesn't understand, this dog is just like me, he's lost his home and I lost mine, but then Jack came along and gave me a home so, why can't I do the same for Lucky? Jack came outside and sat next to me, but he broke the silence "Y- you bought dog food?" I nodded "Yeah, I did" I heard Jack sigh "Look, I'll Make a deal with you, If you can show me that you're responsible enough, I'll let you keep the dog. If you don't bathe him for a week, give him food or water, he's out and can never come back, I'll talk to Emily about him too, deal?" Jack held out his hand for me. I shook it "Deal, and his name is Lucky" I said. Lucky perked his ears up and licked my face. I smiled, I have a good feeling about this deal.
