Chapter Fifteen

Previously - Rogue's POV

"Solid Script: Explosion!" An enormous blast rocked the area and I hit the ground on my back, skidding and rolling. I coughed, unable to hear anything over the ringing in my ears. Suddenly, I was flying upwards. Frosch was gripping the back of my jacket and lifting me into the air. He was asking me something, but I pointed to my ears and shook my head.

A second explosion rocked the ground and then Makarov appeared in his giant form, shouting something. I used the lull to scan the area. Sting and Lily had Natsu pinned by the arms, I could see Laxus protecting Wendy and Charla as best he could behind some rubble, and Happy and Lector flying off towards the seaport. The smoke cleared enough to see a man in a helmet and a brown-haired woman in green helping Erza pin down the idiots who started this and a blond back-to-back with Gray, the former pleading with Gajeel's mate and the latter pleading with Juvia.

Things appeared to be under control, until Natsu spotted Gray. "Graaaay!" He roared. He swept his feet up, catching Lily between the legs and knocking him over. Then he sank his teeth into Sting's arm, causing Sting to scream in agony and hit the ground. "I'll kill yooooooou!!" Natsu dove at Gray, fangs red and dripping.

And then all hell broke loose.

Sting's POV

I panted, gazing around at what quickly had become a battlefield. Master Makarov had stopped the fighting momentarily and reinforcements had appeared to arrive. I could see Rogue and Frosch in the air, scanning the area. Lily and I had Natsu pinned pretty securely when he suddenly stiffened. I followed his gaze and- oh, shit! There's some naked guy back-to-back with his mate!

"Graaaaay!" Natsu roared. He swung his legs and caught Lily in the groin, knocking him over. I had no time to feel sympathy as Natsu whipped around and sank his sharp teeth deep into my arm. I screamed in agony and hit the ground hard. I hazily heard Natsu roar something else and then all hell seemed to break loose. I tried to staunch the bleeding coming from the deep bite mark on my arm with one hand as I scrabbled into a kneeling position.

I stared at the battle that had just recommenced. With Natsu after him, Gray couldn't stop Juvia anymore and the two blue-hairs had begun fighting again, this time with magic, not hand-to-hand. The blond girl was chasing Natsu and screaming for him to stop. Taking advantage of a momentary distraction, Gajeel had punched the man in the helmet so hard, he shattered part of it and launched the poor guy quite a distance through the air. The fat guy and the skinny orange head had also lashed out and Titania was now shooting swords through the air at an orange blur while the girl in green fought against the vines trying to strangle her.

There was a roar of fury from behind me and Laxus charged past towards Gajeel. "DON'T YOU TOUCH MY THUNDER TRIBE!!" Snarling, Gajeel turned to face him and the two collided, slamming into each other with whatever they could use.

"Sting-san!" I heard a little voice cry and Wendy skidded next to me. "Oh, Mavis! Give me your arm, quick!" Feeling a little woozy, I offered my arm. "W-why isn't it w-working?!" She was almost in tears.

"You still have your cuffs on, girl!" Charla exclaimed.

"O-oh, no! I forgot! W-who has the key?!" I had trouble focusing on the scene before me.

"Whoever it is, they're a little busy!" Charla yelled while Wendy started sobbing out of fright.

"Here!" There was a loud crash as Rogue landed next to us. He ripped his cloak and started wrapping my arm. "Help me!" He called to Wendy, who just started crying harder.
