Final Author's Note

Alright, lots of people have been messaging me over the fact that Gajevy was the only possible ship with a dragon slayer that became canon.

In terms of story:
•Wendy is too young. Period. I know that with the time skips, she's actually much older, but still...she is physically and mentally still only 12/13 ish.
•Natsu seemed kind of similar to Wendy, in a way. While he's definitely older than her, he hasn't really become an adult yet. He's a teenager, right on the cusp, but still a hormonal teenage boy who doesn't seem completely ready for the possibility of being a father, if you know what I mean. Not that he wouldn't be a good dad or happy he was becoming one, but simply not considering it at all.
•Laxus is most certainly an adult, but he's only an artificial dragon slayer, meaning that the effects would be there, just not as strong and not all of them.

In terms of personal preference:
•Wendy is too young, no matter who you ship her with.

•As for Laxus and Natsu, well... Gajevy is truly my OTP, the only ship I wholeheartedly fangirl over in this series. That being said, I really have no opinion one way or another for any ship in Fairy Tail. Some I think are more likely to happen than others, but I can still see where each side is coming from. So NaLu has Lucy being his current partner and NaLi has Lisanna being an old childhood friend. And Freedaxus and Miraxus are equally legit.

I didn't put Sting or Rogue with anyone because a) the effects are far more mild for them and b) I, uh, actually don't ship them with anyone since I don't know Sabertooth that well. C'mon, it was hard enough to write them as it was! ><

Anyway, the possibilities are still open, so you can feel free to imagine whatever ending beyond this you want, no matter who you ship.
