Chapter 10

         That day after school Ian picked up Lyn as planned

"You ready?" He asked her

"I guess" she nodded and followed him to his car

Ian took her to a restaurant after he had already made a reservation. After they had already sat down and ordered their meals, to Ian's surprise Lyn wasn't like the order girls he had gone out with. She downed her meal once and stared at him

"You want more?" He asked her and she nodded her head with a smile. Ian took her plate and gave her his own which he had barely started to eat. After she was done they decided to start the project
Actually about the project you were supposed to ask your partner questions about his/herself that were given then you'll write an essay on it

"Let's start" Ian told her bringing out some papers from his bag

"So um...what's your full name? Ian asked first

"Lyn Jessica Ted"

"Hmm nice name" he complimented writing it down "Mine is Ian Cameron Elmer"

"OK" Lyn wrote it too

"Your favorite activity or hobby?"

"Actually it's playing the piano. I just like music"

"Can you sing" Ian questioned

"What!" She stared at him strangely

"Just curious"

"Oh well....yea kind of" she replied "That's not in the question anyways, so answer yours"

"Flirting"

"I'm going to write that down" she raised a brow

"You can if you want but actually I do enjoy playing football"

"I thought so" she scribbled what he said down "OK next question"

"Are you close with your family?"

Lyn's chest tightened at that question. She looked up at Ian who was staring intently at her. She took a deep breath and answered

"I don't have a family"

Ian looked at her with surprise and concern "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to"

But Lyn still went on with it "My parents divorced and my moved away with my elder brother then my dad died two weeks later in a plane crash. I haven't been able to contact my mum since then"

Just then Ian remembered when she ran out of the music room when he mentioned the plane crash

"Are you okay? Don't you wanna try contacting them?"

"No" Lyn refused "I always waited for their call, I don't want to be a burden to them"

"Do you live alone?"

She was about to say that she lived with Neal but she remembered Neal warned her not to tell anyone about it

"Hmm yea" she lied "Lets move on"
Ian gave her a look of worry and then just smiled and said OK

"My parents are divorced too, but I live alone and I still keep in touch with my parents. I'm close with my mum but not very well with my dad since he's all about business"

"OK" Lyn nodded "what do you do in your spare time?"

"I don't have moments like that but I love to sleep if there's any"

Lyn laughed softly and said "I like to eat in my spare time"

"You really love to eat. Don't you?"
