Chapter 30

"Miss me much!" She heard a voice behind her and also from the phone. She turned back and saw Neal waving his phone at her. She felt happiness run through her body and those butterflies in her stomach were jerking back to life. She didn't know what got into her but she ran and hugged him wrapping her hands around his waist. She was the happy that he came to look for her, and he was the first person she saw when she was sad. Neal though surprised at the sudden hug he was totally not expecting. He was expecting her to smack him in the head for coming late, but all the same he was happy that she was happy to see him.

"Hey" Neal called "What's wrong with you....are you sick?"

"No!" She replied "I'm just.... Hurting" she said the last words slowly

"Why? Why did you run off, I thought something bad happened to you"

"Just things" then she retreated from the hug "why? Worried?" She smirked

"Shut up" he pushed her head with a finger

"Anyways you said you were going to take me somewhere fun....."

"Forget it, I took my bike home. But since we're here lets just play"

"I thought someone wasn't a child.....big baby" she teased running of........

Lyn laughed through out the time they played together and Neal was more than happy that he didn't see her cry, even though he knew very well that she must've cry. Lyn was a strong girl, even if he knew she bore a lot of pain in her heart about her family, she tries her best to be happy and yet always snap at him *that was the annoying part, but at least smiling widely and laughing and eating pizza like there was no tomorrow was enough to make his heart flutter.

"When is your dad coming back with Ellie" Lyn asked on their way home while Neal carried her on his back since she complained of being too tired to walk.

"I don't know about Ellie, but my dad he'll probably come back when I'm getting married or whatever I don't really know"

"But you do miss him....don't you"?

"I'm a guy, I don't do things like that"

"Whatever" Lyn said wrapping her hands comfortably around his neck.
"What was your mom like?"

"Where do you think I got my looks from" he boasted and Lyn smacked his head

Neal chuckled and continued "My mom was kind, but she had sickle cell anemia and died immediately after the birth of Ellie. My dad was pretty wrecked for a long time, I feel bad for Ellie because she never saw her mom and I can't be that mom to her even if I want to.

"Of course you can. You can always dress like a lady"

Neal mentally face palmed and said "If you can talk like that I suppose you have enough strength to walk"

"No no no" Lyn refused holding onto his neck tightly.

"You stupid pizza!" Neal chuckled "So are you ready to tell me why you ran off earlier today"

"Nothing, I just wanted to let go of everything"

"Of what?" Neal insisted

"My mom?" Lyn said quietly "I met her today and she came with another lady saying she wasn't my real mom, that the lady is"

"So what do you want to do about it?"

"Forget about it" she said inhaling deeply and Neal decided to change the topic.

"So what are we having for dinner?" Neal asked

"Um......pizza" Lyn beamed pushing her head forward to see his face

"No not pizza!" Neal instantly refused

"Please pizza" she hummed biting his ears softly and Neal giggled trying to push her head off

"Alright you pizza god, we'll eat pizza just stop biting my ears its disgusting" And they went into the house together.

Meanwhile Ian was at the other side of the street in his car, watching as Neal carried Lyn and were laughing together. He clenched his fist his anger wishing he was the one carrying her like that, wishing he was the one living with her instead and not Neal but yet he still said to himself he was going to get her no matter what....

Sorry another short update. This was just a filler chapter, I promise other ones would be better.
