1 year later/ graduation.

One year had passed swiftly and things had gotten much rather smoothly than expected. Chuck had officially broken off the engagement with Natasha but began to see her more friendly than he used to, and his father was forced to agree about his relationship Toni.
Chuck had decided to study law in WSU, while Toni was going to study business in WSU also. That was their next chapter together.

For Neal, his relationship with Lyn was already moving into another level also. They were both accepted into WSU but Lyn had a scholarship to school in LA, as much as she wanted to study her dream course in a prestige school, she didn't want to leave her very perfect boyfriend behind.

It was graduation day for all seniors of Cheryl field high, the best and most expensive school in all of Washington. It was a sad day for some, most exciting for some and just an ordinary day for some others.

"Lyn, we're going to be late" Neal called as he walked to her room, but just as he got to her door he was about to open it when he heard her talking to someone on the phone, he stopped to listen.

"I've made up my mind, I don't think I'm going to accept it" he heard her say, then she waited for a while before she continued

"I got accepted in WSU anyways, I have people I don't want to leave behind so I won't accept the scholarship" she stopped for a while before speaking

"I would surely call you if I change my mind, thank you for everything so far" Neal heard her say before she ended the call.

Neal retreated from her door, not wanting to go in anymore. He was shocked for some reason, and scared for some other. Why would Lyn give up her dream to be with him? She loved him and he loved her back as well but not accepting the scholarship was way too much out of the league, because he knew if he was the one he was going to accept it.

He was going to wait for her no matter how long, if she was scared about him dating another girl then she was wrong because it wouldn't even be possible, he loved her way too much to do that.
Lyn had made up her mind on not going and she was strong headed and stubborn, he wouldn't be able to convince her to take the scholarship but Neal knew what he was going to do, it wasn't the best plan, in fact it wasn't a good plan because it wasn't going to affect him so bad but he couldn't just sit and watch Lyn throw her dreams away, what if things didn't work out for them later on?

"You ready?" Lyn came down breaking he's thought startling him a bit

"Um yea" he replied rubbing the back of his neck.

"You okay? You look nervous"

"Maybe" he managed a smile walking out of the room and gesturing Lyn to follow him.

Time skip...

After the graduation....

"Come on babe, I want to take you somewhere"

"Where" Lyn asked with excitement in her voice and Neal tried to ignore it because it was nowhere exciting.
Then he threw his car keys to Ian "Take this home for me will you?"

Ian caught it swiftly "how many cars do I have to drive"

"You didn't drive here" Neal reminded him, then he grabbed Lyn's hand and took her away.

"Where are you we going?" Lyn asked again but Neal didn't reply he kept on going

"Neal" she called him again but yet he kept on going and it was scaring her a bit, it's been long she saw Neal in this mood and she hoped she'll never have to see it again.
She retreated her hands from Neal when he started moving too fast and she couldn't keep up with him. When she stopped Neal turned back and cupped her face in his hands, then he brought his face closer to hers and kissed, Lyn kissed him back but stopped when she felt something drop on her cheek. She looked up at him to discover that they were his tears, Neal was crying, why would Neal be crying.
