Chapter 36

That night at home, Lyn was talking to her mum about what happened in school and the whole episode of Neal confessing to her in front of the whole school.

"You must really like him for you to look this excited" her mother told her

"Well he's my boyfriend now, I guess I do"

Eleanor squealed happy that she was having this kind of conversation with her daughter.

"But mum....." Lyn started and stopped

"What?"

"I don't think I can stay here anymore"

"Why not?" Eleanor looked surprised

"Because Neal has no one with him and I sorta miss him"

Eleanor stared unbelievably at her not knowing what to say
"But....

"I'm sorry mum, but I don't think I can stay here anymore. My home is right there with Neal and I really miss it. I miss eating pizza with him because we both didn't know how to cook, our endless arguments and even his scary look. I can't be trying to get used to you when I know I'm used to somewhere else but all this won't change the fact that you're mum, it's just......"

Eleanor stood up interrupting Lyn, leaving the room with a lot of hurt in her eyes.
Lyn sighed when she left, her mum was never going to understand but whatever it was she knew Neal needed her and she was going to go back but deep down she secretly wanted to be with him. But again she had to talk to Ian and she mentally reminded herself that she wasn't going this over with him.

"Mum is upset!" She said immediately she got into his room

"What?" He pulled of his headphones to pay more attention to Lyn

"Mum is upset?" She repeated

"What did you say to her?"

"That I was leaving"

Now it was Ian's turn to have that surprised look on his face

"Why? Because of Neal?"

"I'm not going over this again" she told him sternly "so are you dropping me or not?"

Ian studies her a little, noticing she didn't look like someone that was going to change her mind or was going to say anymore than she already had so he had to give in to her.

"Fine are you ready?" He asked her

"Gimme half an hour" she rushed out of the room to pack her things.

Moments later, Ian's car was parked in front of Neal's house

"Thanks Ian" Lyn said "and I'm sorry too"

"I totally understand your craving of wanting to be with Neal so just take it easy Lil sis"

"Shut up dork!" Lyn snapped, then she got out of the car with her bags "Make sure you talk to mum"

Ian nodded and drove away

Lyn sighed deeply before proceeding to Neal's door. She rang the bell and waited for a while and there was no response

"Is he sleeping already. It's not even 12 yet"

She rang the bell and knocked lightly. After a short while the door opened revealing sleepy Neal in just a pair of loose trousers without a shirt.

"Hi" Lyn smiled trying to concentrate on his face and not his chest. Neal was staring strangely at her, trying to piece things together since he was still a bit asleep.

"Aren't you gonna let me in and stop staring at me like you don't know me. It's me Lyn"

Before she could say another word, Neal pulled her close to his chest hugging her tightly
