The dormitory was dark and silent. Kurt lay stretched out across his bed, staring at the dark canopy overhead. He could feel Nick and Jeff watching him from where they sat on Blaine's bed, which was still undone from Kurt sleeping in it the night before.

He knew they were there in case he needed to talk. They didn't say anything themselves. They were just waiting. There if he needed them.

Kurt touched his lips lightly. He could still faintly taste the bitterness of the alcohol that had been on Flint's breath. The bile rose in his throat and he closed his eyes and took several deep breaths to keep from throwing up.

The door to the dormitory burst open and he sat up quickly to see Wes and David stumbling into the room, holding Blaine between them.

Kurt screamed.

There was blood covering Blaine's face and staining his robes. His nose was obviously broken and covered in a harsh bruise that continued over the right side of his face and around his eye, which was swollen shut.

"Blaine!" Kurt gasped and Nick and Jeff leapt to their feet to help Wes and David lower Blaine onto his bed so that he sat on the edge of the mattress on top of the rumbled blankets.

"What happened?" Jeff said, kneeling down and holding Blaine's chin gently so he could turn his head to get a better look at his injury.

"Wilson," David growled, his voice shaking with anger.

"What? Flint did this?" Kurt breathed, looking at Wes, who nodded in confirmation of David's words.

Blaine groaned in pain as Jeff checked his nose carefully and Kurt felt angry tears fill his eyes. He turned towards the door but Nick grabbed him back.

"Kurt, no," Nick said firmly. "You stay here. You're not hunting him down after what he did to you."

"What did he do?" Wes said, frowning in confusion.

"Kissed him. Against Kurt's will. He was drunk," Jeff said from where he was still kneeling next to Blaine. He pulled out his wand and gave it a flick to siphon the blood from Blaine's face and robes.

David and Wes exchanged a look of shock.

Kurt allowed Nick to sit him back down on his bed. Nick sat next to him, keeping a hand on his shoulder as though to make sure he didn't try to go after Flint again.

"We're going to McGonagall," David said suddenly with a glance at Blaine.

"No," Blaine croaked, he looked up through one eye. "I'm not getting teachers involved."

"Blaine, she needs to know," Wes insisted.

"Mates," Jeff said, standing finally and turning to Wes and David. "I don't agree either but we need to listen to Blaine. If that's what he wants, okay. If this happens again, I'm sorry, Blaine, but we're telling her, but for now, we'll keep it quiet if that's what you want."

Blaine nodded. Wes and David looked conflicted for a moment, but they took in the pleading look on Blaine's battered face and nodded in agreement.

"You should at least go to Madam Pomfrey," David said, grimacing as the moonlight caught the dark, splotchy purple and blue covering Blaine's face.

"I can heal it myself," Blaine mumbled, barely opening his mouth as he spoke. He licked his split lip and winced. "I got good at it last year."

The air in the room seemed to tighten around them at his throw-away comment.

Kurt couldn't look at Blaine, couldn't see what Flint had done to him. It was the fact that it was his fault that Flint had gone after Blaine so ruthlessly that made Kurt clutch at his face and cry silently into his hands as the others spoke around him.
