I starred at jace wondering how I'm gonna distract him long enough for Sasha's plan to get started jace started to walk towards us ''what do we do now?" Alex asked ''I'm not sure" I said ''well I know for a fact not die" I said and lunged at jace but he threw his fist and it landed in my midsection.
I fell to the ground as Alex came up from behind him but she hit the floor in a few seconds I got back up and jumped on his back trying to get ahold of his hands so he wouldn't strike us again
''Jace stop" I whispered in his ear hoping it would help, he stopped moving so I think it might have helped a little. Alex came in front and tied him up real good sadly we knew it wouldn't hold for long bit at least it will give us a few seconds to breath.
We took a few steps back just out of reach we didn't want him to hit us. Jace was working on getting loose while we talked about our next move ''you will not make it out of here alive" he spat Alex looked at him ''well, if we don't make it out alive I'll just have to take you down with us so you won't torture anyone else" there was venom in her voice I've never heard it before until today, she is her fathers daughter alright. I smiled to myself wishing this would have never happened, I wonder where we would be right now if it didn't. Would we be happy where we would be? Or hate it? Would Alex be a troubled teen? Or would she be the cheery kind? I looked back at Jace then back at Alex they looked so much alike they could pass as siblings.
We watched him struggle trying to get out while Alex keeps trying him she found some chain and basically turned him into a mummy.

'yeah?'
'we got her in our sights so be ready' a bright light shot up into the air and the wind picked up none of us could move cause if we did we would get blown away the air became heavy and screams were heard over the wind, I could barely see anything I had to put my arms in front of my face so nothing got in my eyes. After a few minutes of the wind blowing it slowly died down and we could see
''what was that?" Alex asked she was a few feet away from me ''mom look out" she screamed, I was thrown to the floor and jace was out of his chains. He raised his hand which held a knife ''dad no" she cried he brought the knife down but before it pierced me he went limp, I shoved him off of me and stepped away unsure of what just happened ''destiny" i looked over to see Sasha and magnus walking towards us with Jared I ran over to him hugging him ''what happened" I asked Sasha came up to me ''its over" she said then hugged me
''We don't have to worry about Blaire anymore" Jared said holding up her head with no body ''what happened? Who was the back up?" I asked Jared toss the head onto the ground then motioned us to back up when we did he brought his hand out and the head caught on fire ''I was" he said magnus came up and patted Jared on the back ''you did good, he is a fast learner I didn't think I could get him ready in time"
''Huh?" I was dumbfounded Jared was just a human
''Jared has family that are wizards and witches some of them were even demon hunters so all this is in his blood he just didn't know it, he just needed the right motivation" magnus said I gave Jared another hug I'm glad he didn't get hurt or worse killed
''Mom" I turned to Alex and saw that jace was getting up. I walked over and pushed him back down and punched him in the chest
''What was that for?"
''That's for letting Blaire control you" I punched him again ''and that's for everything else" I walked away from him and grabbed Alex ''where are you going?" Jace asked
''Home" everyone else followed but I stopped walking while they continued to walk, when jace came up to me I faced him and he flinch waiting for me to hit him again but instead of hitting him I hugged him.
