I Never Planned On You

2- Meeting the Cast

[ 1 week later ]

I don't start rehearsals for another week, but today is the day when I meet everyone in the cast. I'm super nervous, but they all seem super nice so how bad could it be?
I flew to where they're performing currently so that I could meet everybody.

I left the hotel I was staying at and walked towards the restaurant we were meeting at.
The moment I walked in, I heard my name being called from a table near the back. I looked around until I heard the voice again, "Andrea! Over here!" I waved and walked over to the group of people waving at me.

"Hi!" I said as I sat down in an empty seat. Everyone was super nice right from the start, but I didn't exactly know who all of them were, "Okay, so this is super embarrassing but, I don't know all of your names." I nervously laughed out.
"Oh, sorry! We just kinda figured since we know you that you knew us!" One of the people I knew, Melissa, spoke. "Everybody introduce yourselves to Andrea! I'm Melissa!" She said.
"I'm Chaz!"
"I'm Josh, but you can call me JoshyB."
"I'm Jeff!"
"I'm Nick!"
"I'm Stephanie, the girl you're replacing!"
"I'm Dan!"
The rest of the group introduced themselves until there was only one guy left.
"And I'm Ben!" He is really cute. Like REALLY cute. Like baby kitten cute. Like s- I need to stop, I barely even know him.
"Okay, well I feel a lot better now that I actually know your names." I laughed.
"So, tell us about you? What is your family like? We want to know it all!" Meredith asked.
"Um, well, I was born and raised in Virginia. I live with my dad, mom, twin brother Evan, and little sister Charlotte. Uhh, I'm 17 turning 18 in about two months. I don't really know what else to say." I said.
"Is this your Broadway debut?" Stephanie asked.
"No, I was actually in the original cast of Matilda!"
"Really? That's so awesome!"

The rest of the night went on just like this, just bonding with everyone, stealing glances at Ben, laughing with the cast. This journey is going to be awesome.
