41- ...Cake

sorry i haven't posted in forever / this is so short!

"Oh my God, you're joking right?" Melissa asks.

"Yeah, are you lying?" Meredith asks.

"I wish! He told me he loves me and I said I love cake!" I say, face palming.

"Well, at least you know he loves you." Mel says.

"Yeah, but why did I have to say I love cake?!" I groan.

"Do you love him?" Mere asks.

Ben's POV:

"She loves cake?!" Josh asks and I just nod my head.

"She loves cake." I say.

"That's rough, bro" Josh says, plopping down on his bed.

"I know." I groan. "I shouldn't have just sprung that on her."

"I don't know what to tell you, man."

"We haven't even been dating for two months and I had to go and say I love her. I probably scared her away."

"Dude, eventually she's gonna say it back and you're both going to forget this ever happened." Josh says.

"Josh, I don't think I'm going to forget that she loves cake more than she loves me."

"I guess this is it." I sigh, slinging my carry-on over my shoulder.

"I guess so." Andie says, looking down.

"Hey, look at me." I say, gently pulling her chin up. "I love you. Even if you love cake, I love you." She chuckles a little.

"I do love cake." She smiles and I lean down to kiss her cheek

"It's okay, you don't have to say it." I say, wrapping my arms around her, squeezing tight.

"I'm gonna miss you so much." Andie says, holding me even tighter.

"Hey, I'll see you when you come to New York in a month and a half! That's...kind of soon."

"That's almost as long as we've been dating." She sadly chuckles, pulling away.

"I'm sorry I have to leave." I say.

"Don't be. This is all going to be worth it in the end. You'll be living your dream on Broadway again!"

"You're the best." I say, glancing at my watch, seeing I have to leave now. "I should probably go."

"Okay." Andie nods, "Do you promise to text me when you land?"

"I promise." She stands on her tip toes, puts her arms around my neck,
and kisses me for the last time in 1 1/2 months. I wrap my arms around her and lift her slightly so that her feet just come off the ground. Andie pulls away, nuzzling her face in my neck, her toes still not touching the floor.

I place her down gently and her arms shift to around my torso, squeezing so tight it feels as if she could break every bone in my body if she wanted to. 

"I'll see you soon, okay?" I say, holding her face in my hands.

"Okay." Andrea says and I kiss her forehead.

"I really have to go now." I say.

"Bye, Benjamin." She teases, not knowing that now I like it when she says my full name.

"Bye, Andie." I say, kissing her cheek again, before turning and walking towards security.

Andie's POV:

As Ben approaches the line, he turns around, so I blow a kiss and he pretends to grab it and put it in his pocket. He smiles before it is his turn to get checked, and I head to the exit.
