I Never Planned On You

10- Recovering

I'm laying down in the hotel bed. Ben has been gone for almost an hour, when he said he would be back in 20 minutes. I just want to stop being sick! That boy needs to hurry up.

' Are you ever coming back? #imsick  '  I text him. I wonder what he is even getting for this 'elixir'... I bet he's trying to poison me or something. What if Ben is some sort of serial killer who kills people he is in shows with. Just in the middle of my finding out Ben's secret identity, I get a text from him,

' I'm in the elevator right now. I'll be to your room in like 30 seconds. #iknowyouaresick  '

I open up my twitter and start scrolling through my feed to pass the time. As I'm looking at stage door pictures the fansies have tweeted, there is a knock on the door.

"I'm coming!" I said, grabbing my head as I stand up. I walk over and open the door to see Ben standing there with multiple bags from various drug stores.

"What took you so long?" I ask, letting him in the humid room, I had a humidifier on.

"Well, I stopped at Target first, but they didn't have everything, so I had to go to some other places." Ben explained.

"What did you even get? Tomorrow is my big day and I can't be sick when that happens." I just hope that Ben can actually cure my sickness in one day.

"I call it an elixir, but it's not really... It's just a bunch of things that are supposed to get rid of colds. It's more like a care package type of thing, but elixir sounds cooler." He laughed, sitting on my bed, dropping the bags on the floor.

"Uh, elixirs are totally different than care packages." I say, laughing.

"You know that you didn't have to do this, right?" I ask. He's been being so sweet to me lately. I hope this isn't about the fact that he has a crush on me.

"I know I didn't. I'm just an amazing friend. And an amazing person in general. Did I ever tell you about the time that I saved a baby kitt-" He started before I interrupted him,

"Shut up." I laugh, nudging his shoulder with my own.

"It is very rude to interrupt people, Andie." Ben said before he nudged me back even harder, almost pushing me off of the bed.

"You're mean." I laughed, going back to the position I was previously in.

"Okay, last one, what is one thing that nobody in the cast knows about you?" Ben asked. We are about to finish a game of twenty questions.

"Um, I have a heart condition." I say.

"What?" Ben loudly says.

"I have a heart condition. Well, I should say had a heart condition. It got all fixed up when I was just a baby. I'm fine now."

"You have a secret boyfriend, a secret heart condition, what else are you hiding from us?" Ben laughs.

"Well," Am I seriously coming clean about my fake boyfriend? "I kind of don't have a boyfriend anymore." I shyly smiled.

"What? In the hour that I was at the store you and your boyfriend broke up?"

"No, not really. I kind of lied to you about my boyfriend. But, before you say anything, just let me talk. It is true that I had a boyfriend, but that was about six months ago. We broke up after three years of being together. But, the reason I lied to you, was because I am not ready for a relationship. I like you, Ben, I really do. I think that you're a wonderful guy, but I can't just go into another relationship this quick. And, if we don't work out, then that's just more heartache than I think I can handle." I confess. Woah, Andrea, way to lay it all out there. At least, now everything is out in the open, no more secrets.

"Oh, um, okay." Ben said. I'm not sure of how he is feeling right now, I'm not very good at reading people. "So... you like me?" He asked, smirking.

"Oh, shut up!" I said, blushing.

"I don't blame you, honestly. Just go and stand with the thousands of fansies who are in love with me." He said, jokingly.

"Hey, I am not  in love with you!" I laugh, still blushing. Ugh, why did I have to say that I like him?

"Keep telling yourself that, sweetie." Ben laughed, laying down on my bed. "How are you feeling now? You look better than you did earlier."  I've been sucking on cough drops like they're candy, and drinking cough syrup like it is soda- which is probably not a good idea.

"I feel a lot better. Thanks, by the way, for getting all this stuff for me. You really didn't have to do this." I thank him again.

"Once again, amazing friend." Ben said, pointing at himself. "I'm honestly offended by the fact that you doubt my amazingness, Andie."

"You're not that great." I say, turning to face him.

"Whatever you say, Kathy. Speaking of which, are you excited for tomorrow night?"

"Sooo excited. But, I feel like I'm going to fall of the towers or something." I laugh.

"I felt like that right before I started doing the show, too. I did almost fall off the towers in Carrying the Banner." He laughed, remembering that night.

It is currently 1am. Melissa got back from wherever she was about an hour ago, so the three of us have just been hanging out for a while. This entire cast is amazing. I'm so glad I auditioned for this show.
