I Never Planned On You

Day 14/25- Lights

"Girls are so slow!" DeMarius complains, sitting in our room. All of the guys nod in agreement. A ton of people are in our room, while Melissa and I finish getting ready to go see the Christmas lights.

"I'm only taking so long because I can't find my shoes!" I say.

"I'm only taking so long because I can't find my mascara!" Melissa says, from the bathroom.

"You don't need to get all pretty, Mel, we're not even leaving the car!" Ben says.

"I guess you're right." She says, "Oh, I found it!" She opens up the tube and coats her eyelashes.

"Now can we go?" Nick begs.

"Yes, but you guys could've just waited in the bus like everyone else." Melissa tells them.

"Eh, it's warmer in here." Sky says.

"Then stop complaining!" I say.

"Calm down, mother." DeMarius says.

"That is the second time I've been called that in the past 24 hours." I laugh.

"Maybe, deep down, you're a mother." Nick says.

"Yeah, I don't think so." I say as we leave the hotel room.

We walk out to the bus and get in.

"Where should I sit?" I think out loud.

"You and I can sit together." Ben says, pulling my arm and taking me to one of the sets of seats.

"How long is it gonna take to get to where we can see lights?" I ask when we sit down and the bus starts moving.

"I think it should only take 25 minutes or so." He replies.

"Okay, I think I'm going to take a nap until we get there." I say, closing my eyes.

"I'll wake you up when we get there." Ben says, putting his arm around my shoulders, pulling my body closer to his, and kissing my forehead.

Ben's Pov:

"Do you think they can hear us?" Someone whispers near me.

"No, I think they're fast asleep." Someone else says.

"But they wanted to see the lights!" Another person says.

I open my eyes and see everyone crowded around Andie and me with their phones out.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask, rubbing my eyes with the hand that isn't around Andie. I guess I fell asleep.

"You two were being super cute, but we didn't know if we should wake you up when we got to the lights." Chaz explains.

"Oh, okay." I say. "Andie, wake up." I say, softly as I gently try to shake her awake.

"Mmmhmm." She mumbles, cuddling farther into my side.

"Andie, we're at the houses." I say.

Her head slowly comes up and she looks out the window, waking up when she sees the lit up houses.

We continue to drive through the suburbs, with Andrea freaking out over all of the lights. I watch as she points out her favorite houses, getting super excited over every single one.

"They're all so pretty!" She says, amazed.

"You're even prettier." I whisper in her ear.

"That was stupid." Andie laughs, smacking me.

"Whatever happened to romance?" I ask, saying one of my lines in the show.

"You're a weirdo." She smiles.

Everyone has been singing Christmas songs for almost the whole trip, and now we're singing All I Want for Christmas Is You, and Josh has pulled out his very best Mariah Carey impression.

"ALLLL IIIII want for ChristmaAaAs.......IIIISssSsS.... YouUuUuUuUu!" Josh sings, making all of us laugh.

I love Christmas time.
