Ian accompanies Nina to the set as they're both prepared to shoot the last scene of the episode.
She was nervous, not the good kind either. Her sole focus from all this week was a blow, everything she took note of was completely forgotten when she was soon called to shoot the final scene.
"Neens?" The familiar voice and use of nickname told her who it was.
She uncrosses her arms and pushes back her long wavy hair, frustrated. She stood quietly, not fulfilling his wish to be looked at.
"This scene is tensing you up, I can see it, you always avoid eye contact when you're nervous." He informs, having figured that habit of her's to look away when she's uncomfortable or nervous, and in this case tense.
Still having not said anything, she continues to avoid his glare at her. All though she agrees with him even if she doesn't want to admit it.
"Mean it.. Mean every little line, word, phrase that you say, mean it." He suddenly apprised.
She moves her eyes to his forest green ones. Succeeding in getting her full attention, he waits for her respond, all though he knew she would ask "what do you mean", so instead he prepared himself to further explain it after she questions it.
"What do you mean by that?" She adds, confusion showing on her face after being told something she completely didn't understand.
"When you say "I love you Damon" think about the person you truly love. The person who makes you laugh, makes you nervous, makes you angry and all these other emotions that flow inside you because of them. Someone who you can show and tell everything to without having even a second thought about it." He pauses briefly for his next few words. "Nina think about the person who makes you feel most alive." He finishes.
She was astonished by his words. Speechless even. She took in every single thing he said. Allowing herself to feel all that he mentioned. She kept that in mind as the crew members called her and Ian to set.
He grabs her arm gently and says one last thing before the young one goes to set. "Think about Ian, and how he makes you feel". The young woman nods and goes along her way to set.
They exchange their lines. Nina still having Paul's words occupying her mind.
"And there's no apology in the world that encompasses all the reasons that I'm wrong for you" Ian declares.
Nina pauses for a second as she looks over to Paul who was having a secretive conversation with one of the crew members who keeps the set organized and well-functioned.
"Think about the person who makes you feel most alive"
She repeats the same line and words over and over again, hearing his voice in the constant cycle of the ten words he spoke lastly; in his advise to ease the nervousness.
"You alright Nina?" Julie Plec asks with concern. Instantly snapping her out of her mind and into reality.
The brunette nods in responds. "Why don't we try that again?" she assures, walking back to her chair.
"Alright from the top everybody.. Quiet on set!" She shouts loud enough for everyone to hear.
Ian repeats the lines of his character. As the cameras focus themselves on him, the talented woman takes a quick glance at Paul who's anticipating from afar. At this point, Ian was almost done with his lines. Her mind still on Paul's meaningful words.
"Fine then I'm not sorry either." She starts, briefly pausing right after.
She continues more and more along. But instead of having Ian on her mind, she had him, he was the one that was taking over every single contemplation inside her. This was it, feeling herself be drawn with more emotion more declaration than ever, she tried avoiding as much eye contact as she could with the man in front of her, not having any thrill of saying such words to him, when they are truly meant for someone else.
The light-browned hair man studies the passion the actress brought to the scene. Smiling because of how his words touched her so profoundly. Completely oblivious that it was because of him she excelled on releasing all that she had denied for what now seems like 2 years.
"I love you Damon" She finishes off.
In her mind, it was an utterly different person that made her feel the way she was told to feel when she loves someone.
She spoke up again but looked at Paul this time, noticing how the cameras aren't solely focused on her facial expression but it was now angled to the side. The opportunity to tell the handsome man what she always wanted to, while he looked away for a moment.
"I love you"
Before she could catch up to what had just happened. She felt the dark-haired man slam his lips on to her own with roughness. She pulled just slightly but recuperated back. Ending the scene after exchanging a few kisses.
Quickly after Julie signaled the end of the scene, everyone clapped at the successful season they've had.
"Listen everyone.. Tvd has been renewed for a season 5" Caroline and Julie announce as the claps and cheers of the crew and producers fill the room, as well as the cast.
While everyone appreciates and thanks one another to their dedication on the show.
The brunette maneuvers her way out and goes to recollect herself. While making her way out of set and to her dressing room she felt a hand gently grasp her arm and reel her in as she collides with the person.
"Not so fast Neens" he vocalizes, seeing her rush pass quickly after an amazing job she did with Ian, the gentleman had to praise her for the outstanding work she did.
"That was amazing" Paul notifies.
"Oh that?" Nina questions.
"That was nothing.. I-I mean" she sighed, her cheeks started feeling warm.
"Because you..... you helped me with it" Nina speaks as an after thought.
"Come here" He pulls her in close and wraps his arms around her neck protectively, giving her the warmth and pleasure his arms obtained.
She returns the gesture as she felt comfort in his embrace. After just a few moments he speaks.
"I knew you could do it Neens" He murmurs, leaving a delicate, yet friendly kiss on her forehead, letting go of her, as he allows her to continue on her way.
He turns to join the rest of the cast and crew on there mini celebration. Nina stood for a few seconds. A small smile appearing on her lips as she keeps recalling the speech Paul told her.
