"Hello! Earth to Nina" Paul called out, brining the brunette back from her little flashback. Her brain becoming less dizzy and more concentrated with her conversation with the polish man.
"What.... wait, sorry I zoned out." She stutters, as she blinks rapidly, trying to stop the pounding headache. He seems to notice, because he doesn't question the fact that Nina was probably in memory lane rather then the actual reality. Given that she was under the influence of alcohol.
"You should head home Neens, you've had enough fun for the night" Paul suggests, as he turns his back and leans on the countertop of the bar, his head slightly tilted towards Nina as they speak.
"Give me one good reason why I should Paul?" She inquires, as she takes another sip of her whiskey.
"Well for one, that will make you have a killer head pain in the morning" He starts off, as his index finger points towards the drink that the brunette has in her firm grip. "Two, where's the fun in drinking alone? I mean c'mon Neens, you look like you just got out of a terrible breakup."
He regrets his words immediately after they were verbally outspoken. He turns to see Nina giving a disbelief look at his statement. Knowing ironically that she did indeed ended a consecutive 3 year relationship with none other than his former co-star.
"That...... sounded much better in my head" He mumbles to himself, as he attempts again to speak up to lighten up the mood.
"Don't beat yourself up for it." Nina replies back, taking another sip of her whiskey.
"Nina I'm really so-"
"Can we talk about what happened?" The bulgarian woman interrupts.
Paul sighs, not realizing he's been holding in a breath. He nods in agreement, motivating her to continue along.
"2 weeks have passed. 2 weeks since we've talked, since we've seen each other. I know that we've went longer than that.... but this, this is different. You kissed me and left with no explanations as to why. For all I know, you were just pitying me." Nina expresses, as she gulps down the rest of the liquid, burning her throat, but instantly warming her inside.
"I dont want.." He says, giving a long pause and sighing as the next words start forming verbally. "We should move pass that. It's the best option".
Expectant of her actions, he sees as Nina's body tenses up and the grip on the glass cup tightened. He looks down to observe her hand and sees the dried red substance on her left hand.
He reaches over to take hold of the hand which is placed firmly on the table carefully, not wanting to cause anymore damage to it, as it all ready seems to have.
She flinches at the sudden contact of his fingers brushing along the side of her palm. Nina immediately pulls back and closes her fingers, ignoring the agonizing pain it caused at the contraction.
Paul doesn't move but looks meaningfully at Nina, who's eyes looked straight ahead, not daring to have a glimpse at the green eyed man. But no matter how hard she resisted, she gave into the warmness of his eyes as her attention went deep into his eyes.
They revealed a more lighter shade of green then what they usually showed. The dim lighting focused on his face was apparent of his soft and concerned look. It expressed care and adoration of the brunette and her own well being, making it even mote impossible to sincerely get over him.
"Nina, give me your hand" Paul reached out at an attempt to have a withhold of her hand, gently caressing the top just before he grabbed it and turned it to inspect the injury.
