"Me and Torrey.." He sighs not having strength to cope with such news. "We're... we're getting a divorce" The actor reveals.

Nina's heartbeat quickened rapidly at the sound of his revelation. She would have never guessed that Paul would divorce Torrey anytime soon, or ever. The couple have been together for quite sometime now, ever since the show started. Was it the obviousness of her closeness with Paul that she indeed develop such feelings for? That would be crazy to assume, since Nina has always kept it friendly and genuine when it came to her relationship with Paul. She kept questioning inside, perhaps over thinking of the possible scenarios, but on the outside she was just as calm and collected. Silence overcame them, neither of the two had anything to say at this point. But it was not an awkward silence, it was a moment for the both actors to sort out their contemplations.

"You'll get through this Paul.. I promise
you will" Nina softly says. As she reaches her left hand and places it firmly on top of Paul's.

He glances at the two hands who have come in contact, removing his sudden stare at it immediately.

He felt his eyes become blurry, as it produced tears, threatening to fall on his cheek. He blinks numerous times to avoid the tear from falling. Still with his head low and his eyes gazing down at the wooden table among him, he hesitated to speak up at the Bulgarian's sweet words.

"I really appreciate you being here for me" He starts. "It means a lot to me" Paul admits truthfully.

"I've said it before Wesley.. I'll always be here for you" Nina reminds Paul of the constant phrase she's always used to reassure him.

"I'm sorry I.. called you so urgently, you probably have plans with Ian that I'm
holding you back on" Paul states as he swiftly stands up and begins to put on his black diesel lade leather jacket.

"No, not at all" She nonchalantly admits as she takes a small sip of the extremely hot coffee. He stops himself for further actions and gives his attention towards Nina, who was still sat down comfortably on the chair. The lamp above the table complimenting her facial features, showing her light make up.

Paul removes his jacket once again as he sets it behind the chair. "You sure?" He questions.
Nina simply nods at the inquiry.

Setting himself down the chair he occupied before hand, the both returned to their conversation that went at ease. Exchanging laughs and giggles, enjoying each others
presence.

After what seemed to be 2 consecutive hours of conversation and various topics. Paul clicked the power button on his phone to check the time. Seeing that it's half past 6, he again clicks his power button to shut off the screen of the phone, giving his green eyes to Nina's brown ones.

"Well this was fun Ms.Neens" He states as his teeth begin to show when the grin of the Polish man becomes more aware.

Nina chuckles light-heartedly, having enjoyed her well spent hours with the lovely actor. They exchange their goodbyes and parted ways. Nina hoping to hear from him soon, as he will need as much support as he can to deal with the divorce of him and his wife.

She made her way into her condo, and set down a few things. Ian wasn't there, which was a relief for the actress, who seemed to want her home all to herself. She makes her way to her bedroom, flopping down on the mattress tiredly. She laid there for what seemed more than an hour, daydreaming about many things.

Because out of boredom she decided to watch interviews of her cast-mates and also of herself, discussing about the show and other things.

A certain video came to her appeal, which titled the main trio and their ideal partners. When Nina clicked on it, the first one to appear being asked the questions was Paul. The interview began asking questions, until one was asked, that intrigued her.

"The opposite sex ... Are you attracted to the same type that your character is attracted to?" The reporter interrogated.

She turned the volume up more to hear the response Paul had for the question. Waiting for the actor to form a sentence.

"I like.. I'm.. I'm not gonna lie" He splutters still continuing the answer. "Uh.. I'm attracted to dark women.... dark haired, and Elena... Nina has dark hair, so I guess" He smiles, shrugging his shoulders to make it seem as if it's no big deal.

She blushed, hearing him say that just made her stomach flutter. Knowing that Paul does find her good looking, made her feel different, perhaps more confident. She turned off her tablet and set it aside, preparing herself for bed. Nina didn't stop thinking of Paul's exact words. All though the interview was 3 years ago, it still made Nina have hope that potentially Paul saw or sees something in her.

Before going to bed, Nina opened her device up again. Forgetting to pause the video, but instead of the video pausing itself, it continued on to another one of Paul's thoughts of each cast member.

"Matt Davis?" The reporter inquired

"He's not human. He's an alien form living in form of Matt Davis" The polish man jokes.

He receives the laugh of the both women reporters, as he also chuckles at his own answer.

"Ian Somerhalder?" One of them asks, lightly chuckling a little to his previous reply about Matt Davis.

"My big bro in a weird way" Paul
simply responds.

"Nina Dobrev?" The older one blurts out.

"She's like my little sister in a weird way.." He begins. Nina's cheery mood changed when she heard the man she feels for say that, all though he finds the talented Canadian actress attractive, she's nothing more than a relative, a sister to be exact.

She closed the browser, not wanting to hear anything further added. That night, the only thing occupying her mind was the fact that not only she was deeply falling for Paul, but that he won't ever recuperate the same thing back.

It sucked, not being able to act on such emotion because of the future consequences that'll come with it. Paul was what she would've gone for if things were different from the start, if he wasn't happily married and if she didn't say yes to Ian of finally becoming a thing. Never being able to go back and change all those choices. Giving up eventually as timed passed. Nina focuses on much more important, relevant things. Focused more on her association with the charity she's been working with since her Degrassi days, more interactions with beloved fans, and much more. Giving in to what she can have, what she was meant to have, which was the dark-haired, animal loving man. Not giving into what was wanted, desired even, which having to admit it was Paul.
