As their lips mended against each other, Nina officially declare this day as the second best day of her life. The first being the day she meant the green-eyed man and became completely enamoured with him.

If you were tell the brunette that she would be in this moment with someone she only ever fantazied about being with, she would have called you a pathetic fool. She would have argued that it only ever happened in movies and t.v shows, just as her own. Nina has never believed that the turn of events ever happened in the real world. Nothing this drastic has ever happened to her, all though it might sound exaggerating it's the truth.

Even in this very moment, she could have sworn she was dreaming. That thought was quickly dismissed though, because when Paul pulled away and looked straight into her, the butterflies in her stomach and the rapid beat of her chest kept intensifying by each passing moment.

Their gazes lingered there, for what seemed like seconds but was probably hours. Shit, even time itself was become something difficult to keep track of when with him. Everything else in the world would fade black when they were together. As if Nina was living her fantasy in her reality, something that's oddly impossible but feels just as easy to melt into.

"You're so beautiful Neens" Paul meaningfully whispered, as he soothing rubs the brunette's check ever so gently.

Nina leans into his hand, sighing softly. God, she'll never get use to that gesture, his hand is so comforting and warm. "You make me happy Paul" Nina admits shyly, as she places her hand over the green eyed man's own. The brunette sighs once more, closing her eyes as she cherishes this very moment.

"You make me so happy without ever trying. Like your presence alone is just what I need to get through every stressful day. A simple smile, interaction, hug, laugh. No matter what it is, you manage to always make me happy.....to always keep me happy." Nina says.

What took him so long to notice these feelings he had towards her? Why was he so oblivious before? This girl is amazing, any guy from her past was dumb enough to let her go. He wished he wasn't so naive, they could have done this so long ago, minus the hospital situation.

Paul was completely enamored with this girl, and this is barely the beginning. It was the introduction of their relationship. When Nina looked up, he had a look of so much admiration, Paul was surprised that she didn't drown in it. His lips parted slightly to speak, but what words could he have said to top that off? No matter the millions of words in the dictionary he could use, they would never top her's. Paul's grandfather had always said,

"Speaking from what you think and what you feel is important, as long as they both agreed on it."

Paul decided to take that piece of advice, smiling gently in remembrance to his grandfather's words. Thanking God for such amazing role models that he was grateful to call family. The green eyed man gently removed his palm from Nina's face and began fiddling with her fingers, too timid to look up to her eyes again.

"The truth is, you make me just as happy. I'm completely in awe with you, Nina Dobrev" Paul chuckled lightly, hearing it aloud just made it much more realistic. "Everything about you is so captivating, even a blind man will be able to see your aura. Words are something I've never been good at using if we're being real here. But when it comes to you, I can stir up every existing word on the planet, I don't know why you have that impact. It'll take time for me to sort everything out in my head, I mean just look at where we're having this personal talk." Paul said, gazing around the room. Earning a small chuckle from the beautiful brunette sitting across from him.

"I really wished we were at a better setting, like at a beach, or park, maybe even in the woods in front of a waterfall. Or on a cliff where we see all the beauty nature has. Nina... I care about you, more then you'll ever grow to know." Paul says, looking back at Nina.

All though that's not what was expectant to hear, Paul did not want to say something he did not mean intimately yet. There is no doubt that he loved the brunette dearly, but he wanted to say it at the right moment, when the feeling is literally radiating off of him.

Nina interlocked their hands, fixing perfectly like puzzle pieces. As if their hands were created specifically for each other. Nina unconsciously rubbed her thumb along his hand, sending him at ease.

"I care about you too, even more so then you do me."

Nina was content with what he said, she would wait until he's ready. It was obvious that he did love her, but not in the way he wanted too. Yet. The same could be said about the brunette, who all though has major strong feelings, that's what they were. Feelings. She hasn't gone into depth of exploring those emotions, neither of them have, until now.

Nina leaned into him, capturing his lips, to say that she craved them was an understatement. She grabbed a fist full of his hair and tugged on it gently, sighing contently when Paul kissed back. The butterflies erupted just as quickly as her heartbeat in only a matter of seconds into the kiss.

Paul caressed her cheek, like he always did. It was a habit he grew fond of, when Nina pulled back, he pouted. Nina's kisses were much sweeter then they were on set, he ached for them to attach to his own once more.

"It's kind of cold in here, did they turn up the A.C?" She asked, rubbing her arms in attempt to warm herself up.

"I'm not too sure, but here, let me warm you up." Paul said, as he lifted the covers of the blanket and scooted over to allow Nina some room.

She gladly obliged, kicking her boots off and getting comfortable in the confined space that surprisingly they both fitted in. She looked out the window and saw the drizzling rain coming down softly.

"It's raining." She said, completely captivated. She loved the rain.

"I love the rain." Paul said, as if he read her mind, he put the covers over her, making sure she was full covered up and warm.

"So do I, why do you love it?" She furrowed her eyebrows curiously, and looked back at him indicating she was listening.

"It can be depicted as something happy or sad I guess. It's also just as amazing, like if rain is the one thing that lets the sky show it's other form. With grey, white and even a bit of black taking over it. It also allows me to think way more thoroughly, it'd pleasing to watch and even to hear." He said, seeing Nina who had her eyes on him the entire time.

"So, why do you love it?" Paul questioned Nina.

"For the same exact reasons you do, it has a double meaning, like you said. Happy or sad. But it's mostly how us as people perceive it, I've always thought it was happy and can be relaxing. While other's see it as a time of darkness and tears, but it depends on how someone feels at that moment. If their happy, they'll see the rain being just another great way to enjoy your happiness. If they aren't, they see it as a time to dread the Earth and it's nature, and compare it's colors to how they feel. I don't know if that makes sense." Nina rambled.

"No, I like the way you think. That's a nice little observation Neens." Paul complimented.

"Thanks, I like you." She smiled, pecking his cheek.

"What are you 5?" He asked, Nina smirked at him, she turned around again to view the quiet rain again.

There was a long pause, until the green eyed man fills the silence in the room. "I like you too." He coyly admitted.

Nina smiled widely, as she scooted closer to Paul for extra warmth. They both cuddled like that, in silence watching the calming rain poor down the hospital window. This was a good way to start off the day, with the person you adore the most cuddled into you.
